View Full Version : Protune At AGILE STG 1 Dyno Plot
Agile Auto 11-29-2005, 04:08 PM Here is the graph of our stage 1 map. This car has full stock exhaust and intake systems. This is on 93 octane with 18.5 psi. The customers mods are HKS grounding kit, TXS dual stage boost controler, and APS BOV. For some reason the AFRs were unsafe on the Cobb maping so we fattened the mixture up and still made ~30 wtq and whp. The lower line is the Cobb STG 1 and the top line is the AGILE STG1.

midnite_wrex 11-29-2005, 04:28 PM nice! especially with the stock catted exhaust. those cobb ots maps are scary lean
jbotage9er 11-29-2005, 04:34 PM There are places on the TQ curve where you gained 40 WTQ like at 25k, 3.6K and 7K.
I did some math and by eye balling your TQ curne you gained an average of about 33 WTQ. That is a average gain of 14% based on an average WTQ of 236 from 2.5-7K.
It looks like you picked up the most in the top and bottom end.
boost junkie 11-29-2005, 05:38 PM wow, those are some crazy numbers for the stock TBE. can't wait to see what you can do with my car. just waiting for a few more parts before I schedule a tune, hopefully end of this week everything will be in order.

TJRCS 11-29-2005, 06:34 PM found my answer. great # I just wished that i should've waited till protune come out instead of getting ecutek after selling my AP
Agile Auto 11-29-2005, 06:35 PM Yes, it's an STi.
antimullet 11-29-2005, 10:10 PM Timeslips please.
2fas4u 11-29-2005, 10:28 PM Hill congrats again! You guys rock and are good friends too! Pfft timeslips are not the answer to everything, infact they are a waste in my book. Too many variables to compare, every driver is different and reaction times make a diff as well.....

OK ;) ....
jbotage9er 11-30-2005, 11:15 AM ^^ I saw that car at the Agile dyno day. This is his DD. He has another "race car" I would not think he will take it to the drag stip. This car is his baby. I will say that I do like the interior on this car. He had a heads up display and defis. It have 20 something K on the car and it looked show room new. It was by far the cleanest car at the dyno day. There was not even any brake wear or brake dust. It was a spotless car.
Agile Auto 11-30-2005, 11:16 AM I doubt this customer will be 1/4 miling his car. He has several other race cars (all AutoX cars) and really doesn't want to beat this one up going straight. If he goes I'll get him to post the slips though.

innova 11-30-2005, 11:21 AM Please excuse the n00bness of this question but...
Won't that car be pushing some majorly high EGT's running that boost with the stock downpipe?
Agile Auto 11-30-2005, 03:28 PM EGTs were actually pretty normal on his Defi guage tapped in the header. I think the conversion worked out to be about 1585f close to redline at WOT. We didn't go crazy advancing the timing. His car just ran great. His next mod will be a downpipe. I'll keep the thread up to date with the new numbers when he gets his dp put on.

Innovative Tuning 11-30-2005, 06:12 PM Nice work fixing this one up Hill! You can't beat a good custom tune.

That was exactly my question. Thanks, Hill. Hypothetically, if his egt's had been high, would a dp typically decrease them to near normal?
Soon2Bgreat 12-01-2005, 02:52 PM That was exactly my question. Thanks, Hill. Hypothetically, if his egt's had been high, would a dp typically decrease them to near normal?
Typically a reduction in backpressure will net you lower egt's.
Nice numbers Hill.

005sti 12-01-2005, 09:45 PM I was thinking it would due to quicker evacuation of hot exhaust gases, not necessarily because of less backpressure, even though they are related.
drees 12-02-2005, 02:47 PM Nice looking charts. Any plots of a stock STI on your dyno?
2fas4u 12-02-2005, 03:00 PM I know they have tons of Stock STI's on the dyno. We recorded mine a few months back before we did the tune. I have the plots at home....
jbotage9er 12-02-2005, 03:09 PM I have seen 245 and 250 WHP numbers off that dyno but I dont know about the WTQ.
edit: IIRC
VIR EURORALLY 12-02-2005, 03:37 PM There was a plot on the board there last week. I believe it was 235whp for a stock '05.
