When I got home last night there was a letter from the local Subaru dealer waiting for me. It says (shortened version):

"Apparently, a delivery of motor oil contained additional components in the oil. As a result, there have been reported front engine seal failures resulting in oil leaks and loss of oil. Our suppliers have further informed us that no long-term harmful effects are expected."

I guess it's not a problem if all your oil drains out. Has anyone ever dealt with something like this?

I changed my oil already at around 1500 miles, shouldn't be a problem I hope :D
