In the past month this has now happened twice - I notice that my left blinker light in the dash cluster is stuck on but not flashing, and my blinker stalk is in the center position. The right blinker works fine, both outside, and in the dash, but the left is stuck on. Both the interior indicator, and the front and rear exterior left lights are constantly turned on.

I try to turn the car off and on and this does not fix the problem. When I push my emergency flashers on, niether flash, but they both are stuck on. When I release the emergency flasher, the right blinker turns off, but the left remains lit.

Any idea what is going on? Last time I came out the next morning and the problem was non existent, but now it cropped up again.

I would have a look at the turn signal/hazard flasher control box. I am not sure if this is a bi-metal or relay type flasher switch, I have a suspision that it is the bi-metal type due to the amount [low] of wiring associated with it. It is located under the dash on the drivers side to the left of the cars center line; it is balck in color and should have 3 wires leading to it. You can probably get away with just swapping it out for a new one.

thanks for the idea. i haven't had time to grab a replacement box yet, but i did clarify what was going on by testing it with the lights in different positions.

Every time the left blinker is illuminated (front and rear), the left parking light is illuminated (front and rear)

Anyone have any ideas? I had a short in my trailer wiring harness about a month ago but after replacing the fuse and taping off the harness I didn't have any more shorts. Not sure if that's related.
