...it was fun while it lasted. My house sold this weekend. There are finalities to go through, but it looks like a done deal. Hence, we're headed back up north by the end of October. Damn, I'm in shock...

View Full Version : So long Colorado Springs... Diz 09-10-2001, 10:02 AM ...it was fun while it lasted. My house sold this weekend. There are finalities to go through, but it looks like a done deal. Hence, we're headed back up north by the end of October. Damn, I'm in shock... JaMa 09-10-2001, 10:04 AM Where you going up North? JaMa Diz 09-10-2001, 11:37 AM JaMa- We are looking at places in NW Denver, Arvada, Louisville, Longmont, Lafayette and Golden. My GF works in the Tech Center and I'm in Boulder. bratmantlz 09-10-2001, 11:41 AM yeah man i am soooo damn close to driving to denver to get a job.. springs sucks!!! denver also has more sportbike parts shops that are better. the DUMP Brat JaMa 09-10-2001, 12:05 PM Thats cool dude... Dont sweat being in Denver, you will just have to come hang out with us. Just be careful what performance shops you frequent and you will be fine... :D Job market in Denver blows right now BTW... I would not mind a new gig myself but it is just so dry that no one is hiring. Best of luck, JaMa Rocky WRX 09-10-2001, 01:20 PM The T-REX project is going to be starting soon. If you love your GF, don't get a place that forces her to commute on I-25 through Denver. It's going to be a real mess. C-470 is the way to go. Golden is probably your best geographic option. You could scoot up to Boulder on 93. Diz 09-10-2001, 01:37 PM Yep, that is definately something that we're considering. We're both quite familiar with the area (I sold my townhouse in Lafayette to move here and she was raised in Boulder). The only bad thing about 470 is that it gets PACKED eastbound in the morning. People just freak when that sun hits... Rocky WRX 09-10-2001, 04:07 PM You're right on the sunshine slowdowns. I commute from Evergreen to Park Meadows area via C-470. My solution is to try to get through my commute before sunrise. I also leave a little early in the afternoon, to get a jump on the rush hour in the evenings. My WRX sure makes the commute fun! Another option for you is to look somewhere out east on E-470. It would be an easy commute for her now, and for you once they get E-470 connected to I-25 on the north side of town. Not sure exactly when that will be. That road is almost empty, but will cost you a few bucks a day. davidm_sh 09-10-2001, 08:29 PM Best of luck to you up in Boulder. Hey be sure to keep us posted on your "project" car and if you get a chance come down for one or two of the meets ok? -Dave Diz 09-11-2001, 08:37 AM Thanks, Dave. I'll definately be down whenever I can. I still have to decide what kind of project I want for the "project car". We'll see.... :) jImp 09-11-2001, 12:12 PM woohoo! so you're coming back :D The RS and WRX population here has grown considerably in the past year, but there are also many more snooty owners as well. Hope to see you around and good luck with your move. megatron 09-11-2001, 03:21 PM Good luck to you Paul! I knew that house of yours wouldn't last long on the market. :) We definitely need to keep in touch. Andy |
