i just bought a 95 impreza, the coupe. can it switch from 4 wheel drive to 2 wheel drive?when there is a fuse in it, under the hood, a red light is on that says fwd. when i take the fuse out, the light dissapears. can anyone tell me what that means, and which gets better gas mileage, if it even does anything. thanks!

i don't think its doing anything, but normally FWD gets better mileage

When the fuse is in, it DISABLES the AWD and puts it in FWD. Only recommended for towing.
