I have yet to even touch my DCCD, i know when cornering out of 1st, in auto, you can feel the DCCD in action, as it kind of gitty ups the cars power around until you strighten out, i was wondering if you guys leave them locked for any specific kind of driving, or put it all in the rear for cookies... Just trying to understand when i should be using it...

And dont say read the manual, its all the way in my driveway.

I never ever use it...although i was thinking a long time ago that if i left it all the way to the front i might get better gas mileage

I think he is taking about how front wheel drive cars save more gas etc. But I think with the WRX, its not going to happen that way.

Rarely do I change the settings, mainly because I don't remeber that my car has DCCD

I have the car since october...stock
when I have RE070 for summer, I rarely change it

but when I use Dunlop DS2 for winter, I always change it to open before I drive, because the tires feel very weird while slightly high speed cornering if I have DCCD in auto. It feels alot better when I dial it all the way to the rear.
(guess the f/r power distribution varies when turning, and that makes the tires squashes? DS2 has way softer sidewall compare to re070, but correct me if I'm wrong)

Snow condition: Dial it to middle or lock if I feel uncomfortable depending on the condition.

I haven't gone to the track, so I have yet to experience the true potential of the car... :( wait until this summer :D

I use the DCCD all the time. I lock it at the track (1/4 mile that is) and use the lowest setting for cornering.

I like to have the DCCD all the way to the rear (the bottom green light) when I launch. It makes for a quicker launch in my opinion. Whenever you leave it on auto it seems to bog down. In all wheel lock it feels like your going to rip the transmission in half. If you put it to the rear you get very little tire spin but enough to take some of the hurt off the tranny and then you go like a rocket. I have a friend with an 02 WRX modified up around 450hp, he was launching at 5 grand and tore the hell out of two trannies. This has made me a little afraid of putting it in all wheel lock and launching. Although I want the best launch possible when racing, I'm paying a note each month that reminds me that I don't want to take any chances with tearing up my 06 STI.
