this is so ridiculously hard for me to do, but its time to face reality. i've picked my bass(es) up, maybe 2-3 times in hte past 2 years. after spending 6 years in a band, i think im just about done with it. i'd love to start a new one, but theres simply no time and not nearly enough dedication to go through with it, so it's time to free up some space / money
Fender American Deluxe 5string Jazz Bass. sounds and plays like a dream, superlow action, great for tapping/showoff bits, does tend to buzz a little bit when playing anything higher than the 14th fret, but thats rare, and a $30 tune-up @ daddy's junkie music would fix it entirely. includes a travel backpack-style fender gig-bag, and a hardshell case as well (already has straplocks and a VERY wide leather strap, super comfy)
$650
Ibanez 4string acoustic/electric bass. new strings, plays like a dream, awesome tone to it. always stored in a hardcase with the humidifier in place.
$350 firm
Hartke H3500 head. half tube / half solid state (2 preamps, can blend for optimum tone). 350w, absolutely screams. i've personally never had the master volume above 4, and the gain never past 3 (at this level, it was louder than our drummer @ our practice space). NO problems. unit is MINT
SKB 4U road case. SUPER durable. nothing breaks this damn thing. head is currently mounted it in, with 2 additional rack spaces, actually ideal for a Line6 Bass POD pro (which is what i planned on buying before i stopped playing)
Hartke Transporter 4x10 cab. will handle 400w, actually made to match up with the H3500 head. aluminum cone woofers, super bright sound, ideal for pop/blues/anything upbeat, although it takes a bit of tuning with the head to get it to sound soft (like p-basses sound), especially since the jazz bass plays super bright
$1000 for amp/cab/rackmount case
misc. cords (4-5 of them?), Bass Wah pedal...actually bought this after i learned to play metallica's Anesthesia. awesome effects pedal, no problems...a couple of electronic tuners, bag of picks, and random other goodies. theres so much i cant even think about it all right now
$75 for the bass wah pedal (i paid $130, and its still in the original box, i'll toss in a new battery too)
at least 1 free cable with purchase of a bass, plus picks, and if i have anything else that would work nicely with anything, i'll toss that in too
anyone know a musician looking to upgrade (this setup has played in some VERY large clubs (a la, Palladium in worcester), and has NEVER had a problem being too quiet, or buzzy, or distorted. it's served me well, and i'd like to see it all passed onto someone who will put it to good use
PACKAGE DEALS
$1500 for fender 5string, and entire amp rig (with 2 cords, one 20ft'r, one 3ft'r **to connect head to amp)
EVERYTHING for $1900 if you pick it up
i may consider trades (suspension, turbos/injectors, rims/tires **im PICKY w/ rims**)
*edit, ty mod for renaming topic. forgot to add anything after GI/FS, and couldnt edit after the fact
