It's a gutted cat pipe from a stealthback exhaust system: all the benefits of being catless with 3'' piping without the annoying 'i can't pass a visual inspection' downside.

I'll even include a new 3'' gasket for the install...

what part of the stock exhaust do you want it to mate up to?

it might, and i stress might, mate up to catback section of the WRX exhaust, but i am not certain. i am fairly certain that the cat pipe will NOT mate to the oem downpipe though...in my head, the sizes just don't seem compatible at all...

OK, I think I got my answer. I am running Oakos DP and stock catback. Since Oakos mates up to the 3rd cat, it must be like the stock DP so I guess your piece will not fit. Thanks for the reply!
