At work we are in the middle of a move so a few things have popped up that we really don't use much anymore.

I have a working (someone just threw out the standard power cord, I'll see if I can dig one up) Toshiba Satellite Pro 430 CDS notebook with a Pentium 120 Processor, equipped with 16MB EDO RAM, a 1.26GB hard disk, a 10x CD-ROM, spare battery (both batteries probably won't hold a charge, hence you need a power cord). I can't vouch for any issues it may have but a co-worker did tell me it was working.

I figured someone could use it for a timing computer or maybe some basic engine management?

*** It's FREE ***

The only stipulation is that I live on the Cape and I'm on-call often so I can't venture too far. I will be leaving the Cape for at least one/two weekends in the next 6 weeks or so... so I could meet you somewhere a little more reasonable on that Friday (still unsure what weekend).

Let me know if anyone is interested otherwise I'll throw it away.

*Edit* This computer will not be good for anything else... internet, forget it; gaming, only if you can find a PC version of Pong. Also, I have yet to find the power cord but I haven't given up.

The uppipe hasn't gone in yet... I don't have a garage and it's a bitch for me to get off Cape for help with the install.

Back to your regularly scheduled thread...

I'll look around to see if anyone else has an old laptop. Oh yes, the power cord is not looking good but you can find one for about $30 on the internet.

I talked with the person who first replied... since I have to travel a bit just to deliver the free computer and he won't be able to pick it up in a few weeks... I'm just looking to give it to whomever can get down to the Hyannis area.

I won't be able to get off Cape for at least two weeks so... in order of replies, let me know if you can make it down soon and it's yours.

I won't be able to get down there until the 14th or the 15th. Unless you'll be around on monday the 9th.

I'm assuming on the 9th you mean Hyannis. If so, that's fine. I'll send you a PM.

Middle of the bottom part of the Cape. Exit 6 on Rt.6... about 70-80 minutes from Boston. Heck I'll meet whomever at the Sagamore rotary during the evening which will save you about 10 minutes.
