okay so i went to a junk yard today and i saw lots of audis with thier HID's in em. so i was thinking i can rip this junk yard off big time and get em for like 50 bucks with ballast and everything. questions is can i custom fit these into my 02 bugeye. i think it will be just a matter of cutting and fitting but it should take long in my opinion.
what are your guys thoughts on this

I'm in the process of doing just that with Murano projectors. Go for it!

DAMN YOU!!! haha nah im just kidding. I was actually planning on looking for a set of HIDs for myself from the junkyard. Im going next week actually. I was thinking.. if you just buy the projector, ballasts, etc would they try charge your more because they think its more valuable rather then buying the whole assembly? You could probably just throw the actual lamp away but do you see where im going with this...? BAH i doubt it matters.

I doubt it matters too. It probably comes down to the attitude of the actual wrecker guy whether he tries to hose you. I called around to local wreckers and they were out of site with their price quotes, so I ordered my projector kit from HIDPlanet.com for about 1/2 what a wrecker wanted.

If you are doing a retrofit on an 02, make sure you get bi-xenon projectors.

Only if you want to have high beams. If you dont mind not having them, regular HIDs work fine.
I was planning on doing this to a set of e-bay morette knockoffs when I get the chance.
