I also installed the rear 22mm (adjustable) on my WRX wagon. Made a big difference for cornering control and body roll. Got rid of a lot of the understeer and is more "tossable" in my opinion. It's definately a "more bang for the buck" upgrade.

Now I think I am going to go with the STi pink springs :)

Does the Cusco rear sway come with the endlinks or hardened mounting brackets? Is something like this available from Cusco or should I fit the Whiteline ones? I figure if I'm going to do it, must as well do it right :)

Also, where can i get this?

Umm, the whiteline endlinks work fine I think. I don't have them yet, but I plan on it.

Dunno about the endlinks

Is it 20-22-24 mm adjustable, or is it some other combination? How much did that run ya?

Does this bar has the "angle" built in at the end (the flattened part)? If not, you will have a problem. Read this post from the WRX Non-technical forum and you will know what I'm talking about:

**Solution for rear clunking/tapping noise for those with a/f mkt swaybar & endlink

I installed mine today, with the car on the ground (my car is lowerd on H&R springs too!) It was tricky to remove the stock bar but it can be done! I like the way the car feels now it is more tossable and doesn't seem to understeer anymore.

Everything everyone else said....

I love my adjustable Cusco. It was a pain getting the old bar off even without lowering springs. Wish I had used ramps to get a better angle on things. Finally yanked the muffler hangar and pulled the bar off that way.

Installed the 22 mm rear on my WRX sedan along with GT-Spec solid endlinks. Definitely decreases understeer. Feels so much nicer in the twisties.

what do you guys have your bars set at? i am about to install mine and dont want too much oversteer. other suspension mods are prodrive springs, kartboy rear endlinks, noltec front endlinks, whiteline rear strut bar. just wanna get an idea of what to expect.

Just set it at the middle setting and go out for a drive on your favorite twisty road.

Does it feel good to you? Leave it be.
Too much oversteer? Go back to the softest setting.
Too little oversteer? Set it harder.

On a wagon you'll probably like the softest setting best as it will reduce the understeer a bunch when compared to the stock bar. On the harder settings it might be 'too much of a good thing'.

How important is it to put a matching sway bar up front? I ordered the Cobb rear bar and the sales guy talked me into the front, as he said it would be "tail happy" without it. I'm all for balanced handling, but I'm also for saving a few $$$ if I can.

Also with respect to the end links, might I be looking at a breakage problem with the stockers if I don't get some billet models? $100 is relatively affordable for such a mod, but I also drive a lot in the mtns in winter and don't want to sacrifice traction. Are any end-links in particular more "neutral" than others? (This car won't see much if any off-road action, just full-season street driving, some autox and a track day or two.)

I''m thinking that the Cobb sway bars (rebadged Hotchkis btw) are a fairly large diameter so it would be optimal to have both the front and the rear.

I haven't heard of anyone actually breaking the stock endlinks. People buy them for increased steering response not reliability. They won't affect traction in any way. The endlinks with spherical bearings will have a larger impact on NVH than the bushing type. They all do the same thing so I would go with whichever is cheapest.

Plenty of people have broken these.. many people have also broken their Whiteline's too! Do a search for broke endlink and you'll see what I mean...

Great bang for the buck....one of the best mods I've done so far.

it depends on how you want your car to handle. as you stiffen the rear bar, you are increasing oversteer. which you CAN have too much of. especially if you dont balance it out with a bigger front bar. so if you only have a rear bar, i would keep it at the softest setting, you dont want too much snap oversteer on throttle lift-off. i have only a cusco rear bar set at the softest (22mm of 22-23-24) and its pretty neutral on steady state cornering, but when i lift-off throttle, it snaps pretty hard so i couldnt imagine going even to 23 without a bigger front bar to balance it out. although, ive *read* that a bigger front bar wont increase understeer in our cars as much as we would think. many members have reported that it improves steering response and body roll moreso than increasing understeer. just something to think about. i still have some body roll on turn-in i'd like to get rid of.

i would pick up some kartboy endlinks. least number of problems it seems like. ive heard stories about other ones like whitelines, but hardly any negative comments on kartboys. you should get aftermarket ones regardless, it allows the swaybar to react faster and it utilizes the bar for what its supposed to do. the stock endlinks are pretty flexy.

I just installed my Front and Rear Cusco Bars and I really like them. I installed Helix Rear Endlinks along with them and I was really surprized at how much different the car feels. I went to autocross this past weekend and did pretty bad on my first few runs because I wasnt used to the rear stepping out like it did. I was used to plowing thru all the turns :)

The whiteline "HD"(heavy duty) machined end links are rugged, don't break.

do you hear the rear tire whine as well when you're turning fast? or do you still hear only the front tires?

Installed Cusco RSB + Kartboy endlinks...

Easy install. Awesome difference in handling. Set it as middle setting.

There is this one U-turn I always have to do to get to my workplace. Beforehand, my car would push way out to the far lanes when cornering the turn fast. Now, I can almost turn it on a dime with very little push and understeer. And I'm not even on high performance summer tires. I'm on some cheap all season tires.
