I have anthracite comps with the polished rim. Over the years they have taken some slight impacts from gravel and road debris that have breached the clear coat on the polished lip. Now I have some "blooms" of oxide under the clearcoat that make them look kind of gnarly. Has anyone dealt with this problem successfully? I would like to have them looking pristine again rather than retire them to track duty.

ever try wet sanding down the clearcoat and re clearcoating it?

No, not yet. I had that in my "last resort" column. :)
