View Full Version : Will srt4 rims fit?
BoostedAWD 01-25-2006, 10:34 PM I have a 02 wrx.
The srt4 rims are 5x100 45-17x6. Im not sure if that means its a 45mm offset...or what?
anyways, will they fit on my car? has anyone put a set on their wrx?
I can get a set for cheap, and the tires are pretty good to. and imo they look pretty good.
wannabejdm 01-25-2006, 10:47 PM haha i agree. normal wrx they will fit. I have an sti and put srt wheels on the front. but they didnt fit the back b/c of those damm brembo's. shoot some pic's and send em my way

ugh.
BoostedAWD 01-26-2006, 12:28 AM well thats good that they fit, now im looking for some pics. ^_^
remowgn 01-26-2006, 12:37 AM Unless you're getting them for damn near free, it's really not worth it... 6" wheels suck.
BoostedAWD 01-26-2006, 01:12 AM suck for what?
i don't race, i don't autox. Its a fun daily.

good point. yeah i thought the front breaks were bigger to. But they fit the front of my o4 sti fine. when we went to put the back on the brembo's were stickin out to far.
Chuck H 01-26-2006, 10:21 AM I'm pretty sure that all Neon wheels are 40mm offset, which is way too low for correct Subaru fitment. They're also only 6 inches wide. That's a serious downgrade from the stock wheels. The only thing I'd even consider using those for on a Subaru is snow tires (and this is coming from a Neon enthusiast). ;)
Jim Lewis 01-26-2006, 10:32 AM There are Neon enthusiasts? Kidding. 6" wheels narrow your tire selections to 205mm section width tires - the only tire that properly fits is a 205/50-17, and there aren't many good choices in that size...you'd be better staying with WRX 16s and 205/55-16s or 225/50-16s.
subieworx 01-26-2006, 01:52 PM Are you all forgetting how ugly those wheels are???? uhhh Makes me want to vomit when I think of putting them on a wrx.
EastSti8 01-26-2006, 02:41 PM Why do you want to put skittle wheels on your subaru?
Davenow 01-26-2006, 02:59 PM ugly ass wheels.
Thumper23 01-26-2006, 04:36 PM ok, this was a funny joke
BoostedAWD 01-27-2006, 01:32 AM I didn't ask anyones opinion about how they looked, so please stop replying to my thread on this regard.
asthetics is relative, and bias...and purely opinion.
I'm just looking for simple facts.
Does anybody know the true offset of these rims? If lets say they are not an "ideal" subaru offset...(but they fit) what harm will it cause to my car? axels? bearing? hub?
Uncle Scotty 01-27-2006, 02:11 AM ....winter wheels, mebbe
spongejosh 01-27-2006, 02:56 AM wrong offset will ruin your wheel bearings. i had a set of enkies on my car that i got cheap. after a few auto-x's and a track day or two, my rear hubs almost fell off the car. the dealer said i probably wouldn't have made it more than 20 more miles. they were bad.
also i don't know the offset of the srt-4 wheels. i'm just saying that i know from experience that the wrong offset will cause problems.

BoostedAWD 01-27-2006, 03:28 AM found it. yeah...45mm offset.
the stock wrx's are 48mm, so yeah 3mm isn't that bad.

Stock 2002-2005 WRX wheels are the 6.5" wide one's and are 55 mm offset. The RS wheels, 6 spoke like on the 2001 2.5RS were 7" wide and were 53 mm. The stock 2004 STi BBS wheels were 53 mm.
