I need help finding some good cheap ice tires for my 03 rs. I was looking at usa comp wheels but i neet to know if those will fit on an 06 wrx also so when i get my new car i can use them again. If they dont then i need to find some really cheap stellies that will clear my brakes and some cheap tires to put cheap studs in. I need as much info as i can get so i can start buy/ making these bad boys!! Ice race in a month.

they have the divits for the studs if you want em too!
they are kinda pricey but i've gotten two winters out of those bad boys and they realy get me out of the snow......not sure on pure ice.
about $400 for 4 at a local shop and then you can add your studs

Most 16's should fit the 4-pots.

Check with the vendor to be sure.

Summer/competition tires are your best bet for studding. 205/45/16 is nicely undersized. A 195/50, 205/50, 215/45 or 225/45 will work also. I'd recommend keeping the load rating of at least 87, but it's probably not necessary.
Here's the list of tires I made last fall when I was looking. Prices may have changed since then.

I ended up with some closeout Sears-brand Yokohamas.

You can do 1-1.25" length 1/4" dia. bolts w/ fender washers & nylon locking nuts, or for better traction, add ~10 lbs of drywall screws to each tire. 3/4" length for used tires, 1" for new.

You might also call around to your local tire shops to see if they have any tires laying around.
