View Full Version : New NSX
http://www.carbodydesign.com/news/2005-06-30-honda-nsx/1-mid.jpg
A new image for the next Honda NSX generation was unveiled by the Japanese magazine Auto Gallery Net.
The style of this concept looks quite different from the one of the HSC Concept, officially presented by Honda at the 2003 Tokyo Motorshow, that many considered to be a preview of the next NSX generation.
According to Auto Gallery Net the new NSX body should be more compact and lower than the present version, and the design should be characterized by sharp edges and a Formula 1-like front end that reminds of Ferrari Enzo.
The Honda NSX production should end within this month (June 2005) after 15 years of life and about 20,000 units built.

SoDealer 01-28-2006, 07:44 PM looks like every other super car
Optimus Prime 01-29-2006, 12:57 AM This news and picture is 7 months old and incorrect. But yes it will be a V10!
Beaverboy 01-29-2006, 01:00 AM The article is 7 months old.
The blunt nose on the car reminds me of the Ford GT90 concept.
DeeBoy 01-29-2006, 04:18 AM yah old news, its about time it got a V10, it needs something beastly with that $90,000 price tag!
with a v10, it'll no longer be 90k price tag!
can easily be mistaken as an enzo chop. I dont think it is characteristic of F1 or Honda.
The next NSX has been rumored for quite some time. V10 is basically a sure thing. Unforuntately the marketing could be a bit weird since F1 will start using V8s in the upcoming races.
Also i think they might put their SHAWD in it as well - only proper to throw everything u got into something that will identify ur brand. Im sure they r planning some sort of special anniversary of Honda's to release this.

Looks like a cross between the Enzo and the Cadillac Cien. And out of all 3, I like the Cien the bestest.
(and actually they definitely used the Cien as their base car when they did this Photochop - some of the lines are exactly the same. He even kept the same 7-spoke wheels and everything. )
MattDell 01-29-2006, 01:45 PM Looks like form over function to me. :o
Optimus Prime 01-29-2006, 02:04 PM Why is any one giving any credibility to that picture. The most factual rumor is that it will look like an HSC with a rear end (read taillights) similar to the last NSX.
I still don't understand why people put down it's price tag. It's faster than an Aston Martin, Maserati, or NA Porsche all of which are the same price or more as the NSX. Actually, I think it is because people remember the road test of the 91 NSX which was the older 3.0 liter motor (which by the way at the time was faster and less money than the Ferrari it was compared against). The 97+ NSX had a new motor in it that put the car in the high 12's. Plus the entire car (body, frame, and suspension) is aluminum, the motor has titanium internals, and it's hand built...it costs a lot to do all that!
^ Its true the NSX is/was a great car. The only thing i hope for in the new NSX is a little smaller body so it is lighter and more agile (not that it wasnt light or agile enough already).

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the pic in the first post. I think Cadillac might be a little pissed if that was the new NSX. :D
