maybe two smalls ones works better than a single big one? I'm guessing mostly bling/brag factor though.

twins.... because they can. ;)
probably worked out for better packaging for the amount of boost they wanted to run, it was better than having a huge blower sticking through the hood. Maybe two make less heat than one big one.
who knows. it looks nice. :D

centrifugal style turbo looking guys, only with pullys where the exhaust side is.
Two small ones are better for driveability than one big one.

the size of the blower determines how much CFM it can move. it is way inneficient to have two air pumps draining off the crankshaft, but they probably didn't have room for anything bigger without cutting the hood.
