I was riding today with my TrunkMonkey sitting on the dash today and i came to a stop light. The light turned green and i proceded to make a left turn a minivan comes flying up on my rear end and almost hits me but i hit the gas to avoid her from hitting me and then all off the sudden my trunkmonkey flew out the window and the old lady in the minivan ran over him. Did he try to attack the lady for almost taking out his home i will never know. Farewell my trunkmonkey

Well my trunkmonkey loved to sit on the dash when i wasn't racing so he could look at all the girls and stuff but i told him that he needed to wear a seatbelt but no he would complain and get really mad so i would let him sit there and look what happened.

Well if your trunk monkey was properly buckled into rearward facing DOT approved monkey seat, none of this would have happened. I am sorry for your loss, but this is partly your fault.

How many more monkeys must die?

sorry to hear about your trunk monkey.. i saw on Discovery chanel that minivans and SUVs are the trunk monkey's natural enemies, so while your TM was probably trained well sometimes you cant overcome those natural instints...
I dont know if its just me but i can't get enough of these Trunk Monkey posts! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif

http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/frown.gif I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. What a monkey though, even right to the end he was still fighting with minivans. I have to keep an eye on Rufuss (my monkey) everytime I see a minivan. What a fighter!! you should be proud if a monkey's gotta go at least he was attacking the enemy!!

It's times like these when we all must remember that the lord sometimes has a higher purpose. Though it may hurt, in your time of loss, it will probably help to remember that God has expressed a need for your Trunk Monkey. Most likely your Trunk Monkey has been called upon to aid in the handleing of any of the recently rolled RSs. Perhaps he is now, as we speak, meeting with the soul of the RS who so recently was taken from us by rolling over a cliff...

Time shall heal your wounds, just remember that your Trunk Monkey did not die in vain.

My trunkmonkey won't wear a seatbelt, either...He likes to sit near the rear windshield and lounge around while I'm not racing and stare at the other drivers...He makes faces at them...

My sincerest condolences to you and your family for your horrible loss. You're in my prayers. Just remember that tomorrow is another day, and life will go on even without your beloved trunkmonkey.

A moment of silence for our little friend, Trunkmonkey. He was a quiet chap that kept to himself but always went out of his way to make sure his master's car was in tip-top shape. In his last moments of life, he attacked the one thing that threatened his master's life...a minivan. Unfortunately, fur is softer than steel and little Trunkmonkey lost his battle.

His sacrifice and your loss, however, will not be for none. Trunkmonkey's soul will forever be remembered in the great impound in the sky. You will be watched over and, as Trunkmonkey decends to Earth once again, will protect you in your travels.

Blessed be. Sniffle. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/frown.gif

is time to upgrade. When my trunk moneky passed away.. I had STi install my new.... Trunk-Pikachu! with I, I gained a few hp and lost a few hps, since I no longer have an alternator or battery on my car. I just use it to charge everything. No more dead car on cold mornings either!

That really made me crack up. It reminds me of the time I took my RS out for a spin with my friend in the backseat just after getting my suspension installed, and I took a turn really hard to test things out, then realized that my friend wasn't belted in... he nearly went out the window too. Oops! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smile.gif

Hehehe! Back in 1988 my dad got an Acura Legend with ABS. Who remembers that only luxury cars had ABS just a decade ago? We were driving about 40 and I shouted "ABS" and slapped the pedal to the floor. My (future) brother-in-law flew out of the backseat, over the stick shift, and into the windshield, taking out the rear-view mirror. He was http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/mad.gif!

Always wear your seatbelts -- even if your just a puppet!

My trunk monkey isn't car trained... http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/tongue.gif ewwww... http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/tongue.gif

I make him work from the rear wing now and I've had no problems with him getting fat or lazy. I just wish he wouldn't bounce the car up and down at stop lights... people are starting to stare.

Now I thought trunkmonkeys lived in the, uh trunk. Clearly if he were riding elsewhere he was being put at risk 'cause the interior is an unknown environment for a properly trained trunkmonkey. We must be sensitive to the needs of our trunkmonkeys...

I made the mistake to share your story with my Trunk monkey now he likes to pop up out of my sunroof and throw feces at any mini van he sees. The top of his vented bald head is red with anger.
We both feel for you and wish you luck in getting over such an ugly incident.
At least he went out doing what he love to do.
