My car was stolen today around newark NJ:

It's a 2005 wrx. Obsidian black pearl. Wingelss trunk. Rage enduro wheels.

Liscence plate: sfw80k

If you have any info or just spotted it on the road, please help. This car is the only thing I really had in life.

Yeah I have insurance but I had put so many hours and mods into that car...it's sad to see it go.

Does anyone know if insurance pays the trade in value, personal sale value, or something else?

The 04 and prior do not have coded keys. The 05s are supposed to, but it doesn't help much. Bottom line is if someone wants your car bad enough they are going to get it. Having a vehicle tracking device is a pretty good idea up in Jersey.

I drive on Rt 280 and 80 so I'll keep a look out for your car.

I'm sure it's at some chop shop by now. They probably did change the rims and plates and all that. I had a 3 gauge pod where the clock was with 66mm autometer gauges and a a/f gauge on the steering column. I also had my brake calipers painted red.

sucks..not to many people up here in alaska stealing subies..its still all about the Hondas.. if they stole a subie.. itd be easy to spot sense they strike out real loud ..sorry bout ur wrx..hope u find it in okay condition.. they'll eventually get bit in the a** for it ..(karma)

They will only pay you want the value of the car is and nothing more. Thats why I always get Gap insurance it will pay the difference.

Unfortunatly I live in kearny, which is about 2 towns away from newark. I'd love to move futher away but then It'd take me 2 hours of traffic to get to work. I'll consider that option if I get my car back.

I had the club on it along with a kill switch...didn't help.

Looked pro, no borken glass, and the guy who's house I parked it in front of is a cop... he didn't hear anything.

they are pros its a gang that does this professionally been seen in a black audi...

West orange is the closest i would go to those areas... if im there i dont leave the car

if you want to get the guys who do this... then leave a scoobie as bate and watch it all the time and attack when they go for the steal

Kearney is not too bad... but it's still too close for comfort. One time I parked my WRX in front of the Thistle and there was a car filled with thugs that kept driving by staring at it. :(

If I lived there, I wouldn't own a WRX. I might, however, consider a WRX-powered L or RS. :banana:

... thers so many getting stolen... Even mine got attempted, today I went to get my passenger door fixed at the dealer becuase it was unlocked but the handle wouldn't open the door when I pulled up on it. They said the rod was bent inside the door, someone tried to use a slimjim but didn't know what they were doing and couldn't get it unlocked.

as long as you have quality stuff inside/outside.

wheels, esp volks/worx, defis, tvs, other guages, they can sell ur seats, radio, headlights, tmic, exhaust sys, ..

Everytime I see a "my car got stolen" thread I always know its from New Jersey. Move far far far away from that "place". Word substituted to prevent flaming.

paterson has a worse rep than it really is, i live across the border from it, you get petty retards not major crimes liek GTA. I dont think you really need to post a reward that will break your bank (as much as id love to take your money) cause I'm sure any scooby owner on teh board will be more than happy to help.
