imaaaron 02-03-2006, 11:30 AM Not that it makes you feel any better, but I'd wanna steal that too :D. I'll have my eyes open in south jersey.
intence 02-03-2006, 11:31 AM sorry about what happened but try posting in the tri state forum http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=16
aimetti 02-03-2006, 11:35 AM I see wrxs getting stolen all the time. I thought they have the immobliezer keys? Guess they dont work so good.
mikecoscia 02-03-2006, 11:59 AM Sorry to hear about it dude I live like 20 min north of you. I will keep an eye out. Man I am going to totally install crazy security when I get my STi
a87supra 02-03-2006, 01:13 PM Insurance?
Sausage 02-03-2006, 01:21 PM Yeah I have insurance but I had put so many hours and mods into that car...it's sad to see it go.
Does anyone know if insurance pays the trade in value, personal sale value, or something else?
sorry to hear that!
I'll keep a look out in North Jersey
Hope you find it :(
BHawk 02-03-2006, 01:30 PM The 04 and prior do not have coded keys. The 05s are supposed to, but it doesn't help much. Bottom line is if someone wants your car bad enough they are going to get it. Having a vehicle tracking device is a pretty good idea up in Jersey.
SupaSizeFries 02-03-2006, 01:41 PM I drive on Rt 280 and 80 so I'll keep a look out for your car.
w0rx4me 02-03-2006, 01:42 PM I'll keep my eyes out for it this afternoon and tonight. Good luck with this... :(
silver-RS 02-03-2006, 01:46 PM i goto work at newark international airport so i will keep my eyes open for you...
btw...the thief might have already change the rims, license plate, etc
SQC120 02-03-2006, 01:48 PM i know how u feel man. cops found my car 3months later.
but a lot of people on this forum that lost their suby's found it within the week.
good luck.
post this on the tri-state forum and let AZP know about this.
ScoobyRacer2 02-03-2006, 01:52 PM Sorry to hear about your loss.... :(
Kinda like a death in the family.... I hope you get her back...
Sausage 02-03-2006, 02:04 PM I'm sure it's at some chop shop by now. They probably did change the rims and plates and all that. I had a 3 gauge pod where the clock was with 66mm autometer gauges and a a/f gauge on the steering column. I also had my brake calipers painted red.
-just a couple extra details if you seem something suspicious.
Thanks for all your help !!!
Supaboom 02-03-2006, 03:33 PM sorry to hear man, i fuggin HATE thieves..karma will get them though
TheLegacy 02-03-2006, 03:41 PM sorry bro but its newark... capital of stolen scoobies

Wrx/GVR4-Owner 02-03-2006, 03:58 PM They will only pay you want the value of the car is and nothing more. Thats why I always get Gap insurance it will pay the difference.
Chp_Stix 02-03-2006, 04:09 PM Sorry to hear about it dude, that is why i put a club on 90% of the time, my house is well lit and busy though. Sorry dude ill pray for a quick return with no damage.

+1,000,000,000.
Why risk it? I avoid Newark, Paterson, Irvington, E. Orange, etc. at all costs.
Edit: By the way, this should be posted in tri-state. I mean... why post in the audio forum?
Sausage 02-03-2006, 05:29 PM Unfortunatly I live in kearny, which is about 2 towns away from newark. I'd love to move futher away but then It'd take me 2 hours of traffic to get to work. I'll consider that option if I get my car back.
I had the club on it along with a kill switch...didn't help.
Looked pro, no borken glass, and the guy who's house I parked it in front of is a cop... he didn't hear anything.
TheLegacy 02-03-2006, 05:44 PM they are pros its a gang that does this professionally been seen in a black audi...
West orange is the closest i would go to those areas... if im there i dont leave the car
if you want to get the guys who do this... then leave a scoobie as bate and watch it all the time and attack when they go for the steal

Kearney is not too bad... but it's still too close for comfort. One time I parked my WRX in front of the Thistle and there was a car filled with thugs that kept driving by staring at it. :(
If I lived there, I wouldn't own a WRX. I might, however, consider a WRX-powered L or RS.

This "bait" method has been discussed many times in tri-state. Who's going to give their car up for bait?
SubieStylez 02-03-2006, 05:59 PM ... thers so many getting stolen... Even mine got attempted, today I went to get my passenger door fixed at the dealer becuase it was unlocked but the handle wouldn't open the door when I pulled up on it. They said the rod was bent inside the door, someone tried to use a slimjim but didn't know what they were doing and couldn't get it unlocked.
unloco187 02-03-2006, 06:01 PM hell i would love to come up from texas and use my car as bait. hell hopefully ya'lls gun laws are as loose as ours, lol everyone has guns here. just wait for them to come out and try to jack it, andthen start blasting their car so they cannot run away. hell someone would get caught, or shot, whchever came first.

No man, that's the problem.
Freaking BB guns are illegal here in NJ. :(
Carrying is legal, but you have to jump through more hoops than its worth.

The club will delay the thief 20 seconds at the most.
Good luck finding your car. If the job was that professional than its probably long gone. People suck.
Sausage 02-03-2006, 06:42 PM yeah... i'm completly sure it's long gone. I out hours of hard work into it to make it look flawless with all the mods.
Quality like that gets em top $$
BLK REX 02-03-2006, 06:54 PM Yeah I have insurance but I had put so many hours and mods into that car...it's sad to see it go.

They usually pay dealer retail+tax..
w0rx4me 02-03-2006, 07:06 PM I'd use my car as bait, but who the hell would steal a wagon?
SQC120 02-03-2006, 07:16 PM I'd use my car as bait, but who the hell would steal a wagon?
u'd be surprised.
as long as you have quality stuff inside/outside.
wheels, esp volks/worx, defis, tvs, other guages, they can sell ur seats, radio, headlights, tmic, exhaust sys, ..
wagons or not.. they are not biased.
lilsix 02-03-2006, 07:21 PM Everytime I see a "my car got stolen" thread I always know its from New Jersey. Move far far far away from that "place". Word substituted to prevent flaming.
Rex Booster 02-03-2006, 07:23 PM Sorry dude, that's horrible, hopefully the person who helps you find it will have a heart and let you keep your money as well. Good Luck!
bl_easy 02-03-2006, 08:13 PM :( Sorry about your car...
another Jersey car theft :furious:
njskatchmo 02-03-2006, 09:18 PM paterson has a worse rep than it really is, i live across the border from it, you get petty retards not major crimes liek GTA. I dont think you really need to post a reward that will break your bank (as much as id love to take your money) cause I'm sure any scooby owner on teh board will be more than happy to help. Good luck with the car I'll tell my friend who goes to school in njit
Sausage 02-03-2006, 09:21 PM Thanks man!!!
