so i brought in my 05 sti for a problem with the clutch ( Slipping like crazy) and i have an APS TBE and a EcuTek reflash and was a little worried what they were going to say considering the clutch being under warranty is a grey area. anyway i get a call yesterday and the head specialist at beardmore subaru here in Omaha said that they were replacing everything under warranty! :D
that was a relief considering it would be around 1100 dollars for a new one including labor and parts.

uhh, I'd say you were lucky.

congrats, but quite honestly (and this is not to be a jerk), but it's people like you that make it difficult for the legitimate warranty claims to be covered.. you made some decent power mods and wasted your clutch... you should eat the repair cost..

I would have to disagree, just a reflash and turbo back and you wonder why the clutch failed, these HP cars should have clutches designed to handle at least 350HP, those 2 mods should not cause a failure, unfortunately in the stock evo's and sti's it seems clutches are the weak link they make them just able to hold the stock power, altho the 06 is supposed to be better at handling more power... ;)

First of all these cars are designed to handle the power that came on the car from the factory, going beyond that may or may not work, but at least IMO, it goes beyond what Subaru should cover...

Oh and many, many people have much, more power on their STi's and snap axles before they burn out the clutches...

Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to pick an e-fight or trash on your driving, and if I was in your shoes I'd be plenty happy to accept SOA paying for the repairs..

...But what I am saying is that you pay for mods you should be ready to pay the repair bills, I'd imagine that with your mods you have to be >50hp over stock, and most dealers would tell you to pound sand rather then foot your repair bill on a modded car, so just be careful :)
