my question is can i read live boost of my stock wrx before loading a base map with accessport??? Did not install the ap yet and would like to know the stock boost of my car and see if my boost gauge is accurate

no you cannot. In order to get to the menu options (one of which is live boost), the AP must be in married form.

I believe that you can just hold down the Up and Down arrows when you start the AP, and you can access that option without being married.

I'm not at my car now though, so I can't verify that.

i have cleared codes from other cars that dont even have AP or are running Utec's

so i only plug it in the obd2 without the other connections and just turn it on???

yea the Ap runs off the OBD or the dc power cable

so just to make sure (don't want to scrw anything up) no need to plug the other connectors together and the other one that came with my ap just the obd after turn it on and press on both arrow until the menu shows up is that correct?

You don't need to hook anything together, other than the OBD2 plug into its corresponding port, to read live boost.

i plugged it into the odb after press on two arrows it says waiting for pc after that nothing????

the arrow trick is to get it into PC sync mode. You have to marry it like i orignally stated. I can't think of any other way to get to that menu screen.

Why not just flash it? If you're curious what your car is doing stock, you can just revert back to stock after you flash to whatever stage you want, then check your boost levels against your gauge.

the AP doesn't have to married to whatever car you use the live boost/scanner tool on, but it does have to be married on SOME car to even to that screen to select that option.

Wow ;) after only a day the car is so smooth and the power as really increased. Really this is a great mod and if it keeps on settling for the 1 or 2 weeks too come i thinks it will be awsome. Stage 2 must be :devil:

I'm confused how some say stage 2 gets better after a week. What gets better, do u feel more power, smoother? I felt it alot smoother and a bit more powerful right after. What makes the map perform better after u been running it for a week or to?

Your car (ECU) has set the adaptive timing to compensate for changes. Therefore, it is smoother!

No - the AP needs to be married to SOME car (not necessarily YOURS) before you can get to that mode.

Be careful doing this though - trying to achieve full boost while watching a small screen and not killing youself is not easy. Find a buddy to help.

I know, its married to my car lol. Im just asking if all i have to do is drive around with the AP only hooked up to the obd2 plug, and not the test connectors and ****.

All you need to do is hook up to the OBD2 port
and read your boost values.
NO NEED to connect anything else!!!
Good luck and have someone read your boost for you as you drive.
