alright, im new to the sti world, hope to be picking one up soon.

I was just wondering what the typical modding pattern is on these cars?

intake alright on the stis? i know its a no no on the wrx's.

after intake, tbe, tune, what should the next step to decent power be?

Thanks guys

Typical mod path:

TBE and engine management are the #1 mods.
An intake can be done, but requires research and isn't something you should leap into without looking.

After that consider:

Headers
turbo inlet
lightweight pulley
Bigger turbo/injectors/fuel pump

Aside from power there are a lot of mods you can do that will be just as enjoyable. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=533787 has a cubic ton of stuff for you to help aid in the research process. Also, post in the Mid West Forum and get advice from locals. Locals can really help with engine management solutions as it's better to buy an engine management solution that is easily tuned locally than a "better" system that you have to drive 9 hours to tune.
