Are the older 1.20 maps better for the automatic transmission?
I have a 2002 with txs uppipe and turbo back.
When I flashed in the newer 1.30 Stage 2 93 oct, the car would shift before 6000rpm. I drove around with that for about 2 weeks. When I had my other access port 6 months ago I remembered it would shift at almost 7000rpm.
So today I flashed in the older 1.20 stage 2 map and it seems alot better.
I did some pulls on the highway and it rev'ed up to 7000 before shifting to 2nd and 3rd.

Has anyone else with an automatic experienced this?

thanks

I've got the 1.30 stage 2 93 map running on my car and it shifts at 7,000 RPM in all gears. Same as with the 1.20 93 map I had before.

I don't believe the cobb's EMS can alter when the trans shifts.

Edit: I don't believe any EMS can manipulate that on our cars. our transmission is controlled by a TCU (transmission control unit).

Cobb WAS working on a reflashing for the TCU, but not sure if it's still in the works.

here's the thread:
