Well, these guys got themselves banned, but are the turbos anygood?

I was specifically curious if anyone with an sti has tried the 50T?

I know someone here in tri-state (same town as me actually) had the FIRST prototype one... externally gated I believe. Don't want to disclose info unless he does it himself but hte car MOVES.

I believe the web site says the 50 flows 30 % more than the 40T, so that would put it around the same as a 20g.

Sorry to bring up the dead but I just had a Ported & polished & thermal coated 50T installed modified with a Zilla impeller.
Turbo is supposed to flow between 820-840cfm
50T was purchased through TDC only dyno avail was a Dynapak & I am a 5EAT so there were major issues:(
Only able to get 1 accurate whp figure.....

310 while the car was only hitting 14psi. Car now hits 19.7psi tapering to 18:)

This was done on 93oct with temps in the mid 90's & high humidity.

From what I have been told there are only 5 Momentum 50T's out there...A buddy of mine is @ TDC today with his 50T getting his tuned....

I sure hope so. The owner has no idea what customer service is. All so I never saw anything to back up the claims he made. He had a 60-1 compressor map on the 40T page. Initianlly the 50T was to have an 8cm exhaust housing, there is no way it could have one unless he had a knock off cast for him. The 8cm housing is only sold from MHI to Gready, no one else can get one from MHI.

TDC had these turbo's in there inventory. then modified certain weak links as far as internals go.

I hope they upgraded the seals and bearings as that was what went out on my Momentum. SMOKE SMOKE SMOKE!

I traded in the car and bought a STI, they guy who ended up with it blew up the motor. I heard that there were pieces of the turbo's bearings in the oil return line.
