Just wanted to know if anyone here is using an ecutek reflash i was considering losing my unichip for one your advice and feedback are appreciated

You need to do some searching. There are literally THOUSANDS of people here using EcuTek.

don't buy em based on other end-user opinions...buy based on YOUR tuners opinion.

find out who tuned via ecutek near you, go to them, talk to them about tuning, what you need out of the car, and whether the tuner can give you what you need, and the like..Also get references... find other people tuned by the tuner, and see what they have to say. ECUtek is a great tool, but the tuner is the one pushing the keys....

Also, be sure that the tuner is nearby.... mail order maps are equivalent to having unprotected sex.... :p

I guess what i am trying to say is to use whatever your tuner of choice prefers to use.

i've had an ecutek reflash since 03 and it works great .. i didn't want to go with a piggyback for EM .. just seems very 10 years ago ..

I have an Ecutek and I have no problems with it. But the big difference you will see is in who you have tune it. I had my Ecutek tuned by a bunch of different companies before I settled in on the one I take it to now (XS Engineering). I know nothing about the Unichip, but if its flexible and reliable, a good tuner might be all you need.

I just got tuned with ecutek. Its a nice setup. the car has the same driveability as the stock car but pulls way harder :) My last setup was an SAFC and AVCR and it was nice but I can tell the difference as far as quality of driveability. I had Dave at Metric Subaru (MSPT.net) in Long Island tune my car and Im happy with it. I still dont know what the car makes at the wheels but it feels strong.
