Hey guys, I've been reading and searching around here and there for quite some time now over the past few months. But i'm just not clear on some things and don't know what to decide on. I am a newb to this tuning stuff and not sure exactly how it works. I have an 02 right now, with a greddy evo catback, bpm downpipe, pulley, and kn panel filter. I am ordering the deadbolt monster td04 becuase I decided not to go with something like the vf39 or something bigger so I wouldn't have to get injectors, pump, etc. I am looking to get a little more out of the car but not too crazy. With the deadbolt td04 I am also getting an ebc, uppipe and em. That is where I have problems deciding. First question is reflashing the stock ecu. Would reflashign the stock ecu be good enough?..and if it is; who does it? I've seen stuff about ecutek but not sure how it works. Just send them my ecu? Second is the cobb acessport. This si what I would rather go with. But I went to the site and only found maps for stock setups, and etc. How would I get one that is specific for my car. They mention stuff about an AcessECU. Is that just a program or is it somehtign else that I have to purchase to use the AP. I've been reading and contemplating for quite some time and decided to post this once and for all to maybe get some feedback on what to go with, and whatsd better or easier to use. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks you.

1) Your lack of paragraphs makes me want to puke. Add some, and I might be inclined to read your post.

2) 6 questions per post is hard. Condense

3) All your questions about who does EcuTek, who does Cobb, whats up with Protunes, are answered in the wonderful Unabomber FAQ and everyday in this forum. Read that, and come back if you still have questions.

I agree with what mcowger said. But I will also pitch in that from reading your post I say get the Cobb AP and go get a ProTune (a customized tune for your setup which you should go to a local tuner for).

You're in brooklyn. If you want to just get a tune and get it over with and don't plan on modding anymore. Get a ECUTEK tune from Metric Subaru or North Coast Subaru. You can also buy a accessport from PDX Tuning and have them do a mail order map for you. But if you're really not thinking of upgrading, I would have Metric or NC do a live tune for you.
