Sorry I just cleared it out. They show it that way, but it doesn't come polished. It's $95 extra to have it polished. I'll make a note in the post above to avoid confusion.

Tial BOVs come with a weld on flange only. Your choice of mild steel or aluminum at that price, or you can upgrade to a stainless weld on flange. I have all the flanges in stock.

The will not fit right up to a TMIC. Some people have welded them onto metal y pipes, but most just use these on FMIC piping.

I just got the e-mail. I have more injectors on the way. I just tracked that package and it is arriving Wednesday, so you should have the injectors Friday.

The alky systems work really well. Gains on a setup like yours would be over 20 hp without any loss of margin of safety. For the money you can't beat it. These kits are automatic on/off based on pressure and they're easy to tune. I'll be using one of these kits on our shop car this year.

It's the same price with internal gate with 17 psi actuator as with it set up to use an external gate. The turbo costs the same with the stock size or 3" inlet.

I believe the 1675 shipped price that I listed above is basically what you're asking for since it includes the oil feed line and turbo inlet hose. There is one option that many people add on top of that. It's a kit which includes new studs for the turbo so you don't have to attempt to remove the old ones from your turbo and install them in the new one. This often results in headaches and broken studs. The kit is $57 and includes new studs, new turbo to downpipe gasket, new turbo to uppipe gasket, and a new oil drain gasket for a complete install.

Since the stock turbo inlet hose is known to crack/leak at the turbo inlet and because the 3" inlet on the turbo provides such nice gains in spoolup, we strongly recommend doing the larger inlet with the Perrin inlet hose.

If you have any other questions fire away.

Whats the difference between the mild steel and the stainless weld on flange? How much more is the stainless flange? I need a tial bov asap! ;)

Also, what psi spring should I get for the bov if I'm using a gt30r kit? Thanks

The difference is simply the material. I'd say about 1-5% of my customers get the stainless one simply because they want their entire IC piping made in stainless, but that's unusual. Most people use aluminum or mild steel (coated or painted).

There's a $14 difference in price.

The spring pressure of the BOV is determined by your car's vacuum. Unless you're running radical cams and have poor vacuum the 9psi spring works best.

thanks for the reply. If only the 3" inlet did NOT require the TGV delete mod :(
I have several customers who didn't delete the TGV's with this. They all said it was close, but it works.

I'm putting 1600's on mine, but they aren't a direct fit by any means.

There are some nismo injectors that work, but they're very expensive. Most companies don't deal with side feeds and the legacy turbo side feeds are different from the new age STi side feeds unfortunately.

Sorry I missed this. The Perrin big inlet hose does reduce the clearance but you don't HAVE to delete the TGVs. Deleting them does allow for extra space, but I haven't had a single customer complaint about their big inlet hose not fitting.

FP has sold tons of Green and Red turbos with 3" inlets so they probably hear this question all the time. If you're concerned give them a call and I'm sure they'll be happy to discuss it with you. :)

if you install a 3" inlet turbo and it fits w/o the tgv delete and it does NOT crack the tgv housing sensor....you will be one of the first....

I know which sensor you're talking about. I've talked to FP about this and I've mentioned their standpoint. When Perrin opens I'll give them a ring and see what they have to say. In the past it's been...it's a tight fit so it's not "recommended" but you can do it.

Innovative Tuning

I'm waiting to talk to a tech guy at Perrin who is away from his desk but here's some info info in the interim.

The Perrin 3" inlet hose includes all the parts needed to bypass the TGVs if you decide to do it. You don't have to buy any additional parts like an APS TGV delete housing etc. I imagine the potential extra expense of having to buy TGV deletes is the cause for concern for most people, so no worries about that. All parts are included with the inlet hose at no extra charge.

Some customers haven't had to preform the TGV removal so it may be an issue on some models and not others. Hopefully I'll have some more concrete info on this in a bit.

-Mike

Innovative Tuning
03-02-2006, 02:32 PM
So the official word stands. Some people have used the 3" inlet hose without removing the TGVs. Removing the TGV's is a relatively simple procedure which I can explain to anyone if they have further questions. As mentioned, all the parts are included with the inlet hose so you don't have to buy extra parts to delete the TGV's. As a side benefit this frees up airflow even more and gives you a little extra boost in horespower.

THIS JUST IN!!! Turn your Coolingmist or other water/meth/alky kit into a fully programmable progressively controlled kit!!!
Coolingmist has just introduced their new progressive controller which incorporates dials for quick adjustment AND a serial interface so you can totally custom tune the ramping of the injection system via a PC if you are so inclined. Remember, you do NOT need a computer to use this. It will plug and play with several pre-programmed maps similar to other controllers. The ability to custom tune it with a PC is in addition to this, not in place of it. :)

This can be added to existing systems from Coolingmist OR any other 12 volt pump for 189 shipped. It can be added to the order of a new system for just 179 making Coolingmist systems an even greater deal than before!

Check it out:
