Yea I am working so I refresh it every hour or so. Its a slow day so I'm waiting for the manual.

After a few psychotic refreshes, it's there now. ;)

The STI stuff will be up later this afternoon. You STI guys will have a bit of a harder time then the WRX guys since there are actually two different versions of the software file. You may need to try both as there are 2 revisions of the main STI processor out in the wild. If you try the first version and you attempt to upload a map and it doesn't actually save, then you'll need the 2nd version of the STI software.

The WRX and STI manual has been combined into one document. We will be updating this more in the future, but I feel it is in releasable form.

I don’t think Jermaine has gotten to update or create the Delta page, but that should be up later for the 06 WRX with stage 1 and stage 2 base-maps as well as a speed density base map. The Delta software file is actually an exe file and you don’t have to flip any switches for the delta, so software updates are much easier for that platform. I have requested something similar for the STI and WRX, but I do not want to delay the release of this software.

Enjoy!

I just read the manual.
One queston about the IAT placement.

"Note:
It is recognized that the Speed Density algorithm requires that the air temperature
reading be at the intake manifold rather than at the intake to the MAF which is where
the factory Subaru intake temperature sensor is located. Because there is no sensor
at the intake manifold, the air intake temperature is used to approximate the air
temp in the intake manifold. Any error introduced by this assumption can be reduced
by further tuning of the Air Temp corrections in the parameters"

So this means that with a blow through MAF/IAT. That alot of work will be needed to the temp comp maps to get the SD function working well?

In the end, it is not that bad. You guys will find that it works quite well. You must use IAT based correction values though, but these are pretty linear and once you get a few points correct it is easy to fill in the blank.

True temperature correction can largely be done with a little math on relative air density, so that should give you a pretty good starting point for adjustments.

STi version is.... all.... most.... there. New page, link not complete yet...

Got the grout sealed in my new shower so I'm free for the rest of the day. I know Nathan is excited for me. ;)

Does this have any corelation to the 2 and 3 switch models?
Thanks for the quick answers.

I'm betting it wouldn't be that different. The blow-through MAF is on the cold side right? So it shouldn't be far off or much different than offseting a pre-turbo IAT. You are actually getting a better IAT if its blow-through.

I wish it were that simple. I am looking forward to pulling my hair out in tech support answering this question over the next 2 weeks.

You just have to try out one file and if it doesn’t work move onto the next.

Now I really do have sympathy for you. Perhaps increasing the size of the red font on the STi update page would save you a few calls.

Parameters 1-2 not up up yet for STi? Just want to verify if like this for everyone.

I don't see the flashing software in the STI zip as listed in the web page notes. Can I just grab the one in the WRX zip?

It appears the link to get the flash utility is also not working. Someone have it? Maybe I have it kicking around on my HD somewhere...

Sorry guys, Jermaine is going to try and fix this now.

Do we need to flash the small DBW firmware as well? Sorry for the questions, first time I've tried the procedure.

No you do not need to flash the DBW code.

Bingo, flash program now in the ZIP file. Thanks Nathan. I'm off to reconnect my UTEC and upgrade.

From manual:
O2 sensor display
To accommodate the new calibration for the STi, an extra parameter is provided in:

PARAMETERS -> SPECIAL CONSTANTS -> O2 Inverted Calibration

By default, this should be set to ‘1’ for the STi (2.5L engine).
By default this should be set to ‘0’ for the WRX. (2L engine).

This may seem obvious, but what about for a 2.5L WRX that is using 2L WRX wiring/ecu? I assume I should use '0' for the 02 Cal setting?

What should we change in the base maps in timing or fuel for 91 octane users?
