A Borla Hush or STi catback will fit with the factory downpipe just fine. However, if you plan on installing to downpipes that do not use the donut gasket such as a Helix, Invidia, MadDad(TM) V2 one-piece, ect. then you'll want to ensure you have a 3" flange adapter to ensure a leak free fit because the Borla supplied adapter is designed for the donut type gasket.

We finally have the new V2 one-piece in stock for immediate delivery. This is the V2 two-piece with flat flange fused into one, with other small updates including an aux. 02 bung placed for proper wideband/tuning. The aux. 02 bung comes with a plug. Revised wastegate separator flange with plug and play fitment now for the STi and we are now including our 5-layer Metal downpipe gasket. You still get the signature heatshield in the secondary catless section. A MadDad(TM) exclusive everyone can appreciate :)

A couple of Borla pieces left in stock as well. 3" adpaters also available. Note we also include the 3" gasket with our adapters so it's all plug and play.

We can do the Stealth a bunch of different ways:

With a Stromung DP and MadDad(TM) 3CE
With a Stromung DP Ceramic Coated and MadDad(TM) 3CE
With a MadDad(TM) Metal V2 one-piece single hi-flow metal substrate cat
With a MadDad(TM) Metal two-piece with two hi-flow cats(new secondary pipe with another metal substrate cat)

Then of course there is the "flex" or "noflex" option.

If it's the way it was in SubieSport mag it was actually the V2 downpipe(two piece single cat, taper for factory donut gasket), factory intermediate pipe, 2.5" bolt-on Whisper axleback which won't be available for public consumption until April. SubieSport got the "beta" version which turned out to be quite perfect. We just won't have it in the production cycle until roughly end of March or early May.

Bottom line is we can do a 3" Stealthback without axleback starting at $599 with all gaskets included. I'll PM the borla.

Glad to see some folks saw the SubieSport article. The parts went on the car about 6 months ago.

I've heard the stock STi exhaust plenty, and people have told me that the borla hush is a hair louder than the stock STi exhaust, could you compare the Whisper you guys are producing or the Borla STi to the Stock STi or the Borla Hush?

The Borla Hush is definately quiter than the Borla STi, and the Whisper a tinge quiter than the Hush. For wagon owners the Whipser is even quieter or I should say simply more refined as the Hush drones on the wagons a bit where the Whisper stays drone free, of course that's not an issue for you. The Whisper will be by far quiter than the Borla STi. If the G200 is too loud than I wouldn't consider the Borla STi. It's a sweet sounding exhaust but not one in the low to moderate sound group. That's not to say it's the loudest because it's not that extreme but not in the low to moderate group either(at least not if your catless). I think exhausts should be rated in 3 categorys: Loundess outside the car, Loundess inside the car and over refinement( no drone, smooth sound throughout the rpm range). To that extent I'm partial to the Whisper. It is a house brand so I guess I'm biased(but it is on my car), followed by the Hush and then the STi(borla that is). There are plenty of reviews of Borla Hush and STi so for reference here are some Whisper reviews, one from an STi owner.

3" Whisper catbacks have been out in limited supply for a couple of months but they have never been in readily available stock. No difference right now either but they are being run early next week and will be shipping back orders next week and will have some for stock.

There is also a new 2.5" bolt-on Whisper axleback(or can be had as a 2.5" catback) that will be out the week after next. It's the one that was highlighted in SubieSport magaines January issue. They are using the 2.5" Whisper on their WRX Wagon project car.

We've got prefabbed 3"/2.5" hybrid intermediate pipes. We call them "Halfback" pipes. $194. Has 3" flat flange at downpipe mating end. Smooth taper to 2.5" before mating with the axleback. Comes with gaskets as well. No welding needed.

I'm PM'd most people back. I was behind on PM's while trying to get some tax work done. Also, we've updated our email system to an Exhchange server setup for better overall service, but in the transition we're still working out a couple of cobwebs on auto notifications from the website and issue with some reply's not making it to folks.
