well i went up to extream motorsports today to meet up with RiftsWrx for my protune. it was a kick ass time and i got a great safe consitant tune. well the day started with a few base runs and all i have to say is the cobb base map was getting some crazy A/F numbers and was inconsitant as hell. but anyway moving on. i first got my car tuned on 93 octane and here are the numbers

93= 286 whp and 317 tq 18 psi tappering to 13 by redline

then it was on to a race gas tune (110) just for fun to see what the little sti turbo could do haha... here are the results

21 psi tappering to 14/15 by redline

All i have to say is that this man really knows how to tune! once the car was all smothed out it made the same power every time and was so consitant. i had no knock and no timing was pulled at all. i am not sure how a stock STi does on this dyno. but i wasnt looking for crazy high numbers i was looking for a awesome tune and thats what i got. thanks again to mpower22 for setting it all up and ofcourse to RiftsWRX for the awesome tune, even my G/F had a good time :disco:

the base mad was so rough and the new map is smooth you think you are not going as fast untill you look down and you are doing 100mph  . and the race gas map is just crazy haha it is so fun to drive. i cant wait to get this thing out the the track and run it on some race gas. i went 12.9 at 106 before on the base mad so i will see what i can do now.

I'm worried about running my car much longer with a base map, I might have to pony up and get an o2 and street tuner or something...

i really feel like you dont have to worry that much i feel like mine was just a case of my car didnt like the base map, but it would be a good idea if you can, to get it tuned up a little bit.

as my memory serves your base numbers were around 270 hp but as you said it was inconsistent and ragged as hell. BTW stock sti's put down about 240 hp on this dynojet....your race numbers are very impressive and look at the curve and the "area" under it...peak hp numbers are for the birds....

Nice numbers..Where is this extreme motorsports?

The shop is in Odenton md and owned by Sean Glazaar. A big dsm shop but I know the owner pretty well and he used to have a subie...but he is one mean drag racer....runs in the xbox/nopi series..has a talon that runs mid 8's at around 150 mph....

I saw that car on the dyno once....almost pulled itself off with a bunch of extra straps.....

Sean has been very good about renting me dyno time to fly Jorge out....

the tune wasnt that bad really it was just all over the place. the first pull that we did wasnt really that bad the A/F was pretty steady, but then when we did a pull after that it was crazy all over the place. the problem is that the car could not repeat it over and over. when jorge was done with my car it was almost if every pull the HP and TQ curve would land on top of eachother, it was actually pretty amazing. i was very happy with the tune i came out with! now if jorge could come in here and give some more info that would be great! but i know he is a busy man. :disco:

Looks good. I wish I coulda hung out more but I had father duties to take care of. I had the red Forester XT that was strapped up first. Wish I could have done some pulls with the alky running. Jet was too small and I didn't want to set you guys back any longer.

It's driving great. Whenever Jorge gets back to town I'll have the alky setup right to get an alky map.
