No, Tires arent new. But are in very good shape, and would pass inspection.

My first Legacy, a '99 2.5GT that died rather famously, was that Spruce Pearl color. I like my silver car, but I'll always miss the green one. *sigh* :(

Yeah, i've had a black cherry 98 limited, a silver 99 limited and now this spruce green 98 GT. they are damn good cars!

Sunroof is comming, its just been too cold out for me to start pulling on the plastic parts. I'm shooting for tonight to make some head way with it.

Has the headgasket been replaced? Did the 98 L engines have the same "issues" that the Impreza DOHC engines had?

I'm in the market for a 4-door to potentially replace my 2.5RS coupe. I've got too many 2 seaters and coupes now :)

Yup Both head gaskets, heads have been re-surfaced and all applicable gaskets were replaced. It shouldnt need maintenace other then oil changes for a long time!

The 2.2L engines are more long term reliable then the 2.5L But after the headgaskets are replaced, they are comparible. Of course there is the 30hp/30torq difference...

This car should last another 4-5 years. I've replaced so many of the normal wear and tear items on it... which pisses me off since i am selling it off...but such as life.
I have about $7500k tied up in it..

so $5250 is pretty darn fair.

well two guys...one from VA, one from NC. VA guy came last weekend to test drive the car...two hours for him to get to my house. He loved the car, was shocked there really wasnt anything wrong with it. Told me he'd be intouch. Monday morning i get a call from NC guy saying he was buying a plane ticket to come get the car on friday for $4950. I was like cool, see ya then. Then at 430 VA guy calls, he wants the car too, can he come tomorrow to get it. Well... long story short, bank was closed friday and that was the deal breaker for me with NC guy, VA guy picked it up wednesday evening, price got up to $5500. A STEAL with all the work and performance parts.
Thats the story... and now i'm subieless.... But at least i have 230hp @ the wheels from my acura to keep me company...
