This is probably not a new question...

I own a WRX; GF has a 1997 Legacy Outback Wagon w/ 131k miles. The transmission (or probably computer) has lots of trouble deciding what gear the car wants to be in, this is occurring more and more with age. I know its time to flush trany it’s been about 30k.

Is the trany going, or this just normal at this point in the cars age???

probably a sensor, it's not normal

One more question:

After the car has been taken out of Park and driven, and placed back into PARK and the car turned off, the car rolls about 6in.

This only happens when the car is placed into park and the car turned off.


Any ideas???
