The day after the TSD fun run. I plan on doing both.

We'll see how well the new rex stacks up against the old Cavalier around the cones! :p

So... can you apply on the morning of the autocross on this event? How much will it cost? I'm pretty curious.

hmm... just checked the weather report, and its pretty much rain till friday (as far as long term forcast will go)... its still gonna be on in the rain right?

now, any suggestion on how i would go and take on a M3, Talon TSi, MR2 Turbo, CRX w/ Si engine and R compounds, and a Celica running on A520's? its a friendly lil bet in SFICC... i'm running crappier tire than everyone... the 2nd to lowest hp... i suppose i can pray for rain... what else?

Unfortunetly, I'm gonna miss this auto-x...

But Rally might be enough mud for my car... don't need the rubber from the cones... haha

It'll probably be a pain to clear the mud off the under-side of my car... need to jack it up...

Let's pray for a thunder storm.

but you know... the RE's grip a lot less than the tires the other guys are running, even if the whole thing is flooded...

sandy: you didn't follow my link in sficc did you :)

the ubc guy said its an open event... so i guess the answer to your question is no, but they are limiting cars so you may or may not get in if you reg on that day.

IBO: you wanna meet up around metro? hope i don't sleep in again :o

Joe, since ubc's online reg is filled already, they have very limited space for people who just reg on sunday. you'll have to get there early

Don't think I can make it on Sundays - give me more Saturday AutoX that I can go to, and hopefully that reduces the urge to drive fast on public roads.

the RE92s surprisingly hold up better in wet weather than in the dry... my tires are now toast after 8 autocrosses this year, but I have found that they gave me 2-3sec advantage in the rain than in the dry...

-S-

Biggs: at least your RE's didn't blow up like Chris M's! also i think your car have a lot less sidewall flex than our cars :(

Ken
09-29-2001, 04:11 PM
Sidewall flex?? I think the Celica has a taller sidewall than our 55 profile.

-S-
09-29-2001, 04:12 PM
i think they have 195/50/15 actually... or 195/55/15

besides, its a lot lighter than our cars :) my friend thought i was gonna pop my tire outta the rims last time out

Ken

Wow, I'm starting to not like the '02 RS a lot now. Skimpy tires man...

I don't think I'm going to be making this one on Sunday... crap.
