i suggest we bring our own mooncakes. that way people can sample different kinds of mooncakes.

Even though there's a huge parkinglot up there, it's best not to play with firecrackers and that kinda stuff around trees -- especially in a provincial park!

Lanterns should be okay, cauz they're not really exploding.

Probably need to bring some flashlights if the lantern thing doesn't work out -- Not unless you guyz all want to hang out near my trunk light! :lol:

Yeah I was thinking about a park (by the water) in West Vancouver, but I forgot the name of it... I have been there twice, very nice view, big (kind of) and quiet.

The only "bad" thing about it is that you can't have fires there anymore. Oh well.

Ambleside *use* to have a "fire allowed" policy about 5 years ago, but because of too many drunks/out-of-controlled fires/fires left unattended/etc., they pulled the plug on it. Too bad!

I dunno what the big deal about firecrackers is anywayz -- personally, it's like rolling up $$$ and lighting it up! :lol:

But anywayz, ambleside is a nice location. Parking *may* be tight though. The only other good thing about it is that it'll be somewhat closer for tora to come to since it's in West Vancouver! :D

Nowhere far as I know. But I always have bonfires at Spanish Banks anyway..by UBC..just make sure it's late at night and it's not a HUGE fire. :p But since it's iClub and we all are so noticeable, I suggest we forget the "fires" altogether. It'll make for a more pleasant night.

The *only* beach in Vancouver that allowed (notice - past tense)fires was Ambleside, but like I said earlier, that has now been disallowed. I think the closest we can get to having a "bon fire" is a little "Coleman" camper stove! :lol:

That'll be my suggestion, it's near the waters, but not a beacj so that you can play with fire, since there are those BBQ pits

It's a nude beach at UBC. Unfortunately wherever it is I can't go due to a messed up work schedule.

wreck beach is quite nice - especially at sunset. the only drawback is that u'll have to hike down there. there are no roads or anything that lead down to wreck beach. i have seen people make campfires down there so having fire might be a possibility. cops usually don't go down there cos they're too fat to hike all the way down and back up.
