Could someone give me a head's up on what the scene is like out there? I found myself wanting to head out to SLC to visit a friend and would love to combine seeing him with doing something automotive.

utahscca.com lists that you guys have rally crosses regularly. And Autocrosses. But I didn't see any mention of Solo 1. IS there such a thing as a road race track out anywhere near SLC (within say.. 150 miles)? What about full blown rallies?

I know that here in Cali there are a whole slew of organizations offering open track events at the race tracks we have in state - are there any alternatives to SCCA in Utah? What about colorado? coloradorally.org is not responding to me.

Damnit folks, tell me more about your home turf and what you do to get your automotive kicks.

there is suppose to be a road track being built about 20 miles from SLC, but not sure of a completion date.
When will you be there? The autox season ends soon due to changing weather.

Looks like the next time I will be out there will be after the rallycross/autocross season. However there is the chance that I might be moving out in a year or so..

They do have an orginized and rather active Solo II series. I never did any rallyx out there, so I can't tell ya about that.
By then maybe the track will be done.
