i'm looking to swap a 93 legacy 2.2t mt & awd driveline into a 95 impreza 2d 1.8 fwd. i would like to be around 275-300 reliable whp on pump gas. i would really appreciate any first hand info/experience with this type of swap; from what i've read it looks like everything will bolt up as far as the motor/tranny & driveline is concered (please correct me/advise if i'm wrong). i've read about ecu issues & need advice in this dept, & i know the stock 2.2 heads flow like poo & i was wondering what would b better, have head work done or WRX heads etc. basicly i'm looking 4 the best solution 4 this type of swap w/ a whp goal of 275-300, & if there is anyone in the western MA area that is willing 2 help me, that would be awsome!

I have done most of this and and in the middle of building a new 22t with the same goals in mind. Everything does bolt up.

As far as making that kind of power you are going to need either the wrx or 2.5 sohc heads+bigger turbo+stand alone ecu.
