View Full Version : Wow. Blown Fuel Hemi...by hand n2xlr8n 02-16-2006, 02:40 PM http://www.weberprecision.com/ Be sure and watch the video.....I could smell the nitro at my desk  S. stu 02-16-2006, 02:52 PM that would be so sick in a go kart, I wonder how much power it is making. TunerENT 02-16-2006, 02:52 PM wonder what that would put down on a dyno. Crazykev 02-16-2006, 03:18 PM Damn! That's too slick! themarxist 02-16-2006, 03:51 PM Holy crap, that really is asking to be put on a gokart or a 1/3 scale radio controlled dragster or somesuch. That is some really amazing machine work going on there, I wish i was half that good. I really hope I have enough free time when I get old to attempt something like that. bboy 02-16-2006, 04:00 PM Ooooooo that's cool! kevinh211 02-16-2006, 04:51 PM thats awsome it would be cool if they sold a little kit with everything needed to build your own little engine like that. Crazykev 02-16-2006, 04:56 PM thats awsome it would be cool if they sold a little kit with everything needed to build your own little engine like that. Yes that would be sweet! themarxist 02-16-2006, 04:59 PM It would also probably cost a good fraction of what a real one does. n2xlr8n 02-16-2006, 05:21 PM It would also probably cost a good fraction of what a real one does. A GOOD fraction, yes. S. BUCKman_02 02-17-2006, 11:17 AM Man that is so amazing. I can't even start to imagine the man-hours put into making something that complex. :disco: so cool! stidailydriver 02-17-2006, 11:29 AM hmm.....i have been contemplating on putting a lawn mower engine in my daughters barbie jeep along with my old t-25 turbo....this might be better  tmarcel 02-20-2006, 08:17 PM Damn...this dude should get in touch with an engine manufaturer and sell the plans. He could be rich off this! Totally amazing. themarxist 02-20-2006, 09:07 PM There is a link from that site to another one that sells castings and ready built 1/4 scale running engines like that. They even have an IRL V8, 32v DOHC with functional mechanical fuel injection, fully assembled and ready to go for about 8 grand without accesories. Or you could get a new engine and turbo kit for your subaru with that money. joehack98 02-20-2006, 09:19 PM hmm.....i have been contemplating on putting a lawn mower engine in my daughters barbie jeep along with my old t-25 turbo....this might be better  A lawnmower engine wouldnt spool a t25 WRX8XB 02-20-2006, 09:53 PM depends on the lawnmower ;) stidailydriver 02-20-2006, 10:04 PM depends on the lawnmower ;) ;) yep, it sure wouldn't make full boost, but the little t-25s on the 2g dsms, it could get it spinning maybe...that was somewhat of a joke though, but i have been thinking about it. santofontana 02-20-2006, 10:33 PM that dude is no joke Javwrx 02-20-2006, 11:07 PM yikes. hotrod 02-20-2006, 11:37 PM I assume you guys have also seen this 1/3 scale Ferrari 312PB http://www.fineartmodels.com/pages/product.asp?content_area=6&sub_area=139&product_area=139 Larry Phil Jr. 02-20-2006, 11:42 PM http://www.conleyprecision.com/1_4_scale_viper_v-10_engine.htm look at that puppy. They want 250k for it. Pretty rediculous price considering you could buy almost 3 full viper SRT-10s for that price.... ride5000 02-21-2006, 09:32 AM incredibly impressive. talk about doing it yourself... the guy made his own mandrel bender, cams, crankshaft, and rings! txjunglist 02-21-2006, 09:50 AM he's building a turbine motor as well.. this guy has way too much time on his hands... J-Rex2004 02-21-2006, 10:22 AM Not a Hemi. tmarcel 02-21-2006, 10:24 AM I told my friend about this who seems to know everything and of course he wasn't surpised. I really had no idea that something like this even existed! J-Rex2004 02-21-2006, 10:31 AM I told my friend about this who seems to know everything and of course he wasn't surpised. I really had no idea that something like this even existed! It's been posted before. There are videos on streetfire. MrH00nel2 02-21-2006, 10:51 AM ya there are a few of those vids on streetfire.net a few different kinds n2xlr8n 02-21-2006, 10:53 AM incredibly impressive. talk about doing it yourself... the guy made his own mandrel bender, cams, crankshaft, and rings! He could be my machinist / fabricator :D Are you telling me that you've never done that, Ken? S. ride5000 02-21-2006, 11:07 AM He could be my machinist / fabricator :D Are you telling me that you've never done that, Ken? S. i've made my own gaskets out of cardboard cerial boxes, fixed a fuel pressure regulator with a piece of rubber, a quarter, and some duct tape, strapped up entire wiring harnesses from a spool of wire, and am currently rebuilding my entire kitchen... ... but i can't get anywhere near this isht! THIS is the type of guy who does machine work for the machinists. n2xlr8n 02-21-2006, 11:34 AM THIS is the type of guy who does machine work for the machinists. Right. :) hotrod 02-21-2006, 04:07 PM I just love these high precision scale models, --- I would really like to build something like that but have no where near the passion (polite term for obscession) necessary to pull one of these mega projects off. It certainly gives you pause when you think of the money you pay for crappy engine work. If you comissioned those projects it would cost you a large fraction of a million dollars to get it done by a team of folks. As a former machinist I can only bow at the feet of these guys when it comes to attention to detail. Larry powerlabs 02-21-2006, 04:27 PM 2 - 6HP is my guess: http://www.agn.net.au/~namps/small/ Have you guys seen the Dodge Viper V10 miniature engine? It comes complete with a 3 speed gearbox and is used to power a pencil sharpnet  I can't find the link for some reason. Found it! (http://www.conleyprecision.com/) http://www.conleyprecision.com/Dscn1394V-10_side_stand.jpg ride5000 02-21-2006, 04:50 PM 2 - 6HP is my guess: http://www.agn.net.au/~namps/small/ that one's only 3ci.. this one is 5.655ci, so i'd expect a little less than double that.. a nice solid 10hp. |
