would it be a possibility to take the crank out or a ej22 and put in into an ej20 to stroke it? what combination of pistons and rods would i need to make this work? i already have the ej22 crank and rods avalible for me so i would rather use those parts, considering theyare alreeady forged, rather then go spend 3k on a cobb stroker kit.

2.0L Block, 2.5L (sti) 79mm crank. 2.0l wrx rods. Custom pistons, Stroked.

a ej22 is a bored motor, not stroked. ej22 rods and cranks are identical to ej20.

if this is tru then it sounds like it would be a waste of time considering i have the ej22 closed deck block avalible to me. do you think i would be able to use ej20g heads on the ej22?

sure. thats a trick thats been used forever.

rebuild the bottom end on that ej22....
