Hey guys and gals I have some questions for you guys and any help will be appreciated.

Now as for as I know the 04 AP can be run on the 05, but I have also read that sometimes this does not work and the AP ends up killing the car and the car stalls out or something. I was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts about this or has gone through it themselves.

The thing is that COBB even has different model numbers for the 04 and 05 so is there something different between the two APs? Or is it the maps that you run that have to be designed for a 04 or 05 and the AP does not matter?

The only reason I am asking is because I have a 05 and got a good deal on an AP for a 04. Thanks for any help.

Just load it up with the 05 maps and *insert hand motion here* you'll be good to go.

So then I take it that there should be no problems...? Also has anyone tried running just a stg 1 realtime map without changing the base map at all? Is that even possible?

this has been covered many times! just make sure you have the model year specific software for your car (04 or 05) and you'll be fine. why would you even want to just load the real time map? just load the basemap and enjoy the newfound power :-D
