I want to get one of these two wheels, they are very similiar both weigh between 19.6 and 20lbs for 17x7.5s, they both come in silver or flat black, both have an offset of 50 but the only thing that is different is the Kazeras have the extra holes cause they are universal while the ASA's only have the 5 holes. Oh yeah and both are $159 a rim. I have only seen one picture of a wrx with black Kazera KZ-As and the car and rims were really dirty so it was hard to tell how they look. IF anyone has either one of these rims on their car or has any pictures of these rims on a car i would appreciate it if you could post them.

Thank you.

The ASA looks a lot cleaner without all the extra holes. And it doesn't have big ugly letters on one spoke.

I just ordered the ASA JH8s last night. I talked to tirerack and i believe what they were getting at is that ASA makes the Kazera rims for tirerack. So basically the ASA JH8s are the same rims as the Kazera KZ-A's only they come in the single 5-100 lug pattern.

When you get these on your car please do me a favor and post some pics. The ASA's look nicer than the kazera's in the fact that the lip looks thicker and the middle of the rim is also silver and i like that.

by the way if asa makes kazera rims for tirerack, is asa a korean company too?

edit: i saw your pics on your other thread those wheels look nice, i want to get them in black though.

they are the same wheel ..... other than a couple of minor differences ...

#1.) ASA JH8 black is not flat black it's glossy
#2.) the single PCD in the Kazera is only available in 8.5" widths and wider
#3.) center cap

Are you sure its glossy or is it a low-gloss black??? Glossy means its as shiny as a black car and in the pics it doesnt look like that

I put some KZ-A's on my old G35 6MT coupe. 18*8.5 with 245/40/18 front, 18*9.5 with 275/40/18 rear. This pic doesn't really do them justice:

Here is another (blurry) pic...though any Subaru fitment won't have nearly this much polished lip:

I will be purchasing my JH8 wheels this week but am contemplating getting the 18's or 17's. Can someone help me here. I am in the chicago area where the roads arent exactly smooth. I currently have 17's with 225-45-17's equipped and the ride is good and I can visually tell that the rim protection is there. I want to go 18's (it will only be 100 bucks more) but I am not sure if the 225-40-18 tires will be adequate for rim protection. I am lowered 1.25" front and back with a tokico spring/strut package along with front and rear strut tower bars. Can someone help me here??? Also, will I sacrifice more weight with the 18's or 17's??? 17's will give me less rim more tire and 18's will give me more rim less tire around the edge. All in all, what total package will be lighter??? Thanks for all your guys help!!!
