runfile 9 is the street tuner base map.
runfile 7 is the AP stage 2 93 octane map that's been through a few driving cycles.
xotic tuned is of course tuned by andy from xoticmotorsports.
i'm very happy with the results; a consistent map that's very safe all thanks to Andy.
now the question, what kind of queter mile time has people been able to achieve with stock 5 speed and this type of power?
thanks for the input.
Lordhowe 02-20-2006, 06:39 PM for some reason photobucket won't let me keep the orginal size so here's the power:
whp wtq
run 09: 224.03 225.91
run 07: 237.21 232.67
xotic: 245.40 249.67
nice, glad everything worked out. Did you see the galant?
salem 02-20-2006, 07:00 PM I can't answer your question about the quarter mile, but those numbers look great. I can't wait for my tuning session in three weeks.
Lordhowe 02-20-2006, 07:09 PM paul: yeah man, saw the galant, i thought it must have been yours!!! i'm excited to see what that thing puts down when you get everything sqaured away.
hopefully alot, since a spent a pretty penny on a forged bottom end
Fitz12444 02-20-2006, 07:16 PM thats sick! i need a pro-tune. are these results typical?
jamesohoh7 02-20-2006, 07:23 PM Fitz:
Unless I'm mis-reading it, he said it's a Street-Tuner tune... but apparently tuned by a shop vs. just himself at home (w/Street-Tuner, you own the tuning software too...)... not unlike someone w/a Utec might do.
Results I've read for tuning either setup (Pro or Street Tuner) are usually at least as good as any other 'well featured' tuning kit. It all depends on the tuner :)
Wrx/GVR4-Owner 02-20-2006, 07:35 PM hopefully alot, since a spent a pretty penny on a forged bottom end
What are you doing to the Galant? Are you on galantvr4.org?
yes as silverex pm me if you want the list
Javwrx 02-20-2006, 08:30 PM looks good man, nice numbers :)
goofywrx 02-20-2006, 11:44 PM Good numbers. Hopefully I can make some numbers like that. My car was supposed to be tuned there Friday but he emailed me Thursday night and said that his laptop was broke and he would have to fit me in another day but hasn't emailed me back yet on when.
kenny
Lordhowe 02-21-2006, 12:31 AM goofywrx: he's laptop was down, but luckly i didn't get his e-mail and i brought my own ;)
on another note, if you guys kept an eye on the AF, it's still well below 10:1. so i think leaning it out a little more to the 11's might result to a few more hp (but might not be worth it). the reason he didn't do it was because he's wideband was suppose to get serviced soon therefore he doesn't trust it.
any inputs on that?
yea i was goin say it hits 10.1 pretty even from 4750 to 6750. Looks like the wideband is off or your so rich its off the chart
goofywrx 02-21-2006, 04:07 PM Another day and still no contact. I'm ordering a utec if he doesn't contact me by tonight.
CSULBwagon 02-21-2006, 04:54 PM can you post a mod list those are high numbers for a stg 2
Another day and still no contact. I'm ordering a utec if he doesn't contact me by tonight.
I thought that his laptop was down. If thats the case how is a utec goin help.
Lordhowe 02-21-2006, 08:52 PM goofywrx: andy has his hands tied behind his back from a day to day bases with all the installs, so when his laptop's HDD goes down that he does most of the tuning with.... it's just hell for him. give him a call and he'll make sure to put you in.
mod list:
Perrin IC hose kit, intake elbow, KN filter, Helix no cat DP, borla hush, stock gutted uppipe and some gasket matching. i really believe it's the tuner who made the difference.
paul, my AF was off the charts cause it's so rich, but andy also mentioned that he's getting his wideband serviced soon so he didn't wanna relay on it too much.
goofywrx 02-21-2006, 09:15 PM He contacted me today and we should get things all settled away now. It just ticked me off because he said that he would contact me on saturday and it took him until today to contact me.
On another note I have about the same mods as you(hks tbe, helix uppipe, samco ic hoses, aem short ram, and perrin mbc) and hope to put down some nice power like you have also.

shvrdavid 02-21-2006, 11:57 PM Looks like Andy did another excellent tune... Those are nice numbers, as far as 1/4 mile times... That depends on a lot of different things... One sure way to find out is got to the track... Don't be to hard on Andy about his computer... I was there the day it went down to get my car tuned (the 15th if I remember correctly) ... He has not emailed me about when to reschedule, but I am sure he will... I am very curious to see how much he can improve my numbers...
Before anyone asks...
2005 STI
APS DR55
APS 725 FMIC
APS T/Delete
APS 3.5" TB Exhaust
Perrin Fuel Rails
740 cc injectors
I am going to put on water/alcohol injection before I go back to Xotic to see Andy...
With the tune it has right now it made 394 whp @ 6300 360 ft/lbs @ 4487... the mixture is way off... 10 to 1 at 4200 12+ to 1 at 6300... Yeah I know... a little too lean for me too.... I had it checked at Agile... Hill got out of it early, and I can see why looking at the mixture...
I am going to have Andy move the MAF moved upstream and a few other odds and ends... Can't wait to see what numbers it puts down...
shvrdavid 02-22-2006, 12:00 AM Here is what Hill Gave me
