Mods at dealers. I know of a few dealers that sell aftermarket parts and I was wondering if anyone has used those $100 rebate things to buy mods? I'd love to buy some mods for free!!;)
Keith
RS2000 09-23-2001, 01:33 PM Yep, I was able to use it for parts. Most dealers don't even know about those certificates, just make sure you bring the paper that states what you can purchase with them, otherwise you may have a hard time using them.
Vineet Singh 09-23-2001, 01:34 PM Where can *I* get a rebate card anyway? If you tell me, when I go pick up my WRX, I'll post back... sort of like "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop"? Onnnnnneee... Twwwwwooo.... Threeee! :)

wrx182 09-23-2001, 01:57 PM what $100 rebate things???
beethoven 09-23-2001, 02:49 PM Their rebates for using the Subaru Mastercard from MBNA. To apply go to http://www.subaru.com -> Owners -> Subaru Mastercard.
You basically get 3% of your purchases back in rebates for Subaru products.
Flowmastered87GL 09-24-2001, 02:02 AM Think they would give a Suby card to a 20 year old college student living in a dorm with not much of a credit record (had one card, canceled it the day i got it) a suby card? Id love to get cheap mods :D

I was 20 with NO credit history when I got mine. Well... I got approved for the car loan then applied for the MBNA card. Back then I think it was 5% though, and they were only for a new car, and you didn't deal with coupons. :)
You can buy any Subaru OEM part, including jspec WRX stuff. But not STi or Prodrive or anything like that.
Try searching... you'd be surprised how many times this year we've discussed this topic.
Irvine Subaru 09-24-2001, 06:02 AM Just FYI...we accept the coupons for ANYTHING in our store, including our large selection of performance parts.

HoratioCaine 09-24-2001, 03:21 PM Ryan you kill me!
I know it's not your fault, but....
2001 Foresters @ $2000 off MSRP (in lieu of special factory financing)

2001 VDC Outback @ $3200 off MSRP (in lieu of special factory financing)
2001 LLBean 6cyl @ $2800 off MSRP (in lieu of special factory financing)
That's just plain old mean. Make people think they're getting a deal but instead they're getting screwed!? ;)
Those are prices that anybody should be able to walk in off the street and pay, WITH the 2.9% financing.
Oh well.
Introducing the Unique new Subaru Impreza WRX, with 227 HP, 2.0 liter 4cyl Boxer 4 Turbo!
We have a superb selection of 2002 Impreza models. And, check out our few remaining 2001's because there is special 2.9% financing available for limited term on all 2001's, with approved credit (in lieu of factory rebates)!
All 2002 Imprezas RS Sedans at $1000 off the MSRP!
2.0L 4cyl boxer 4 turbo? Does that mean it's got 4 turbos??? WOW. :D
And from what I can see on SOAs page, there are no factory rebates, only the 2.9% financing with 0 down payment for up to 60 months (at higher rates) if purchased from dealer stock before Oct. 31. :p
Just giving you a litte crap. I seek pleasure in irritating dealerships.
Oh. One last thing... off of the 'Specials' page....
See Desi for details and info on any restrictions. Expires 8/4/01
Not sure but I think the page needs to be updated. :)
Keith 09-24-2001, 04:33 PM thats not very nice...ahahh what was the point in that?
Keith
HoratioCaine 09-24-2001, 04:39 PM I'm not nice. :)
Besides... sometimes people actually don't realize what's on their website and if nobody tells them, well...
Take JC Sports
They did a cut and paste number for item descriptions of their strut bars. They didn't realize that the front strut bar improved the rear of the car until I let them know.
See?
