I just got my new EDM headlights installed and they look great! They have the 6-pin level switch on them. I got a 6 pin USDM sti switch from the dealer and wired it up. It works great. I need help leveling them.
This may be a stupid question, but how do you adjust where they point? All the positions seem lower then I would want them. Postion 0 (the highest they point up) is ok, but I think they could be a little higher and still not blind people. Is there a way to move the whole scale a couple degrees highter? Also, how do you aim them horizontally?
I see the motors on the back that the switch uses. Do you just turn them by hand? I don't see any kind of traditional level screw.
Thanks!

Yes, the gears are lined up so you can actually use a phillips head screw driver to aim them. One side will be the white plastic gear and the other will be the metal gear, (it might have a red dot on it). You can also use a 6mm wrench on the metal gear, (I think it's 6mm).
By the way, is the STi 6 pin switch a direct plug in? Does it come with everything, meaning do you plug into the EDMs, run the wires to the cabin, and install the switch in the blank? Is it that easy? I've read so many threads on hacking the 4 pin switch and running wires, I gave up. I think I might have a switch just no wiring harness.
I haven't checked in a while but I've been wanting to hook up the switch too. If that's it, what part number did you use? ;)

Thanks! This is exactly what I needed to know. I wanted to be sure before I went and started forcing things that would cost me A LOT to replace.

Yeah its great. The STi 6-pin (part# 83011FE010) snaps right into the right most blank in that area. I ordered the switch from my dealer. All you have to do is run the wires. Unfortunely I found no way to find the harnesses that fit into the plugs on the headlights and on the switch so I just cut them all off and got some molex plugs to replace them with.
I used this post for my referance on the wireing diagram.
