The Vishnu "stages" have underdriven pulleys in their packages, is the pulley that necessary to run their maps? Is there anyone out there running vishnu stages that aren't using this, and if there is even a difference? I have the usual tbe/up, colder plugs, etc..

thanks!

Call them and ask... You might have to wait for a call back from a tech but they'll get back to you.

I would, but i'm guessing they'll just say "you'll need it", kinda like asking honda if you need VTEC...

i'm currently running a vishnu stage zero in my 02 and a pulley is necessary for ideal running conditions. it's important to use proper mods with specific stages. you don't want to run a vf34 on a stage zero map. anyways, i'm satified with vishnu products and i think they are one of the top tuner companies out there. although i need stage one to be uploaded in my chip...currently running catless exhaust system and a sti topmount.

The off the shelf map will work with out the pulley, but it will be nowhere near optimized. I would recommend getting the pulley sooner or later.
Take care,
Dustin-

FYI from Vishnu when I asked, but I went ahead and got a pulley for this.

yea, so are they still doing subaru's there? Cuz it seems like they fell off the face of the subaru planet...I'm local, and they shiv has done my tuning(which i'm absolutely satisfied with), but it's so hard to get a hold of them now that I'm considering taking my car to a tuner who is more accessible (phone, e-mail, boards, etc.) Feel like I have to go that extra mile for their service now.... =(

ant927, i feel your pain. it is weird when you as the customer have to seek out the vendor and beg for their service. i was one of their first customers in '02 and i made the switch to gruppe-s 2 years ago and haven't looked back. give mike a call and he will treat you right.
