has anyone had any experiance with sea foam? i have herd about people putting it into there engine to clean out carbon and from what i hear it works well. i have no clue where to buy it or where to put it in the engine, or even if it can cause any damage? if anyone could help me out or recommend a better way to clear out carbon it would be very helpful.

Buy it at an auto parts store and it won't cause damage. Do a search as sea foam has been discussed 1000 times here. http://auto-rx.com/ is known by the oil gurus to be the best that there is though.

Vishnu told me to use seafoam after a dyno tune on my wrx. Ran 2/3 can through the hose off the bov(did 1/3 two times in a row). Have someone idle the warmed up car at 2000-3000 rpms and slowly and evenly pour it into the hose, the car will run rough through this. Once its all in, turn off car for ~ 5 minutes.

WHen you start it up and drive around it will pour white smoke out the tailpipe. After I did it, I swear it ran smoother...some say it works and some say its just placebo. THe check engine light came on, but I just reset the ecu and its been running good since. Buy 1 or 2 cans and follow the directions, you also put it through the oil and the gas. I did the gas but not oil.

subenerd, I would watch out, from my experience on a few forums, sea foam has the downside of messing up sensors, specifically o2 sensors.
On the upside, it is definitely great stuff, only really ever heard great reviews when it was used properly. I know a company who has a fleet of 7.3 Liter TD V-8 Fords that stockpile this stuff and use it often. Usually companies like that aim for least maintenace problems ;P
