Hyperdash 09-24-2001, 11:09 PM congrats,

Bottom Feeder 09-25-2001, 08:51 PM I'm near Poughkeepsie. 1/2hr south of it.
Where?
I'm in Beekman/Poughquag... Right next to Stormville. There's a flea market @ the airport every so often. I'm on Rt. 216...between Rt. 55 and Rt.52... lotta explaining :D
STORER 09-25-2001, 11:17 PM You'll love you Scooby more and more each day. Tell us how you like your first big snow, when all of the other people wouldn't even think of going out and you drive around town effortless. Gotta love the color SRP. I've only seen one other one.
Steve
NoSaabs 09-26-2001, 12:41 PM congrats! and welcome!:D
Siper2 09-26-2001, 01:02 PM Poughkeepsie, cool, my best friend lives in Albany, not too far.
I drive by there quite a bit. :)
Congrats on the car!!! Good choice. I owned a '94 Integra prior to the Impreza, so I know how both feel (unless you're talking about the Integra Type-R, which smokes them both, stock).
Subaru shift mechanisms are nowhere near as good as Honda ones are, but that's why Tom and Mark Deadrick and their "Kartboy" shifters are around!! A lot of us have them, they're wonderfully-machined devices, very inexpensive, and by far one of the best products out there. VERY high on the mods list for everybody. $100 for the shifter alone, $125 for the shifter and a pair of bushings. (To add some notchiness, if you like that sort of thing.)

Albany... somewhat close, about 1hr-1hr 1/2 :) I learned to drive stick on a Honda, so I immediately noticed the difference between the two.
Once I get some money to toss around I'm sure I'll be looking into a new shifter. :D
RS_NW 09-26-2001, 05:40 PM Great choice in color. The red actually adds 10 more hp.;)

I'm almost always down in Putnam. My aunt and uncle live in Mahopac and I'm there alot. When I got time, I work at a townhouse/apartment/something place in Carmel, across the street from the Hospital.
Tri-state meet... sounds like a plan! So long as I don't have any crew races or anything...:)
ForceFed4 09-27-2001, 12:06 AM So far so good Ex car was a Taurus SHO...hehe. Cool, mine too. What'd you have?
Mine was a '90 black mtx (all 1st gens were sticks)

Sounds good to me man.
garface 09-27-2001, 12:28 AM ATA, you don't go to IONA by any chance do you?
EDIT: I just checked your pro, I see that you do. I'm the silver 00RS coupe with 22B wing, ver. 6 lip, stromung dual tip, clear lights...actually only silver coupe. I was the only non L Impreza there till the explosion this year. Now there's at least 6 WRX's and 4 other RS's. Which WRX is yours? Big wing with bov, no wing, stock wing?
Tkacik 09-27-2001, 12:04 PM Welcome the the end of your savings...seriously:)
Giamilton 09-27-2001, 04:28 PM Do you pick your feet in Poughkeepsie?
AnJuMoN 09-27-2001, 05:13 PM Congrats to you man! I just got mine two weeks ago and I still feel that tingly feeling all over my body. It took me about 3 years of wishing, but i finally got mine. Enjoy!

Nice. I always wanted a 1st gen. I had a '93 green atx, I got it from my father w/ 172k miles on it, it has 193k miles now.

Mine is the WR Blue Pearl WRX with no wing, no mods yet, personalized licenced plates (ATA), it should be easy to spot, it is usually in loftus parking lot.
I saw your car today actually, it looks really good, I remember it from last year, I always saw it in the garage.

So pretty close to Red Wing? My dad works there. Or worked, since they moved it.

I used to work in Mahopac, and I was born in Putnam Hospital! Small world.
Now I'm down here in VA, the land of the slow driver. Ah, the days of driving ludicrous speed on the parkways in NY... *sniff*
codemunky 10-02-2001, 03:50 PM Cool, but don't go too crazy/overconfident as I have. Like motorcycles, it's a dangerous toy. Take performance classes next.

Good color choice... on and there is an incurable desire to hump the car, that is normal... especially when the first snowfall hits :D
Korey
Bah! No snowballs to hit this car! Already got tow matching dings in each door :( It doesn't look so pretty anymore... but I'm anal when it comes to taking care of my cars :D
Dolphin Overton 10-03-2001, 12:33 AM did you post this on VWvortex also?
Sweet car, you'll love it even more with a few basic mods. Then you'll keep modding and modding and modding....
au112 10-03-2001, 02:19 AM SRP is a nice colour. Make sure you keep it clean and wax it frequently.
Bottom Feeder 10-03-2001, 10:42 AM WOW! Damn small world we live in. Where'd ya work in Mahopac?
I worked in the Dill's Best stores in Brewster, Carmel, and Baldwin Place (Mahopac) over the last 5.5 years.
