Just got a new AP from PDX. Went to load it and there is nothing in the map list. No CD in the box so I can't load the programs in the computer.

Is this normal?

Thanks

My experience is, you get nothing but your base map on the AP from them. You can down load other maps from accessecu website.

I don't mind the down load, but the directions say there is a cd that is suppose to come with the the AP.

yeah, i think you are still supposed to get a cd with it.. But you can download the maps, like earlier stated, save them on the computer, or burn them to a cd.. its all good

^^Yeah, no biggie, like he said all of the most current maps are on the site. I misplaced my cd a while back but I can still download them and save them if I want.

You get a full kit with the AP -

AP
serial cable for PC
ODBII cable
AP software disc (in the box)
Power supply for the AP to run it on your desktop or laptop from a wall plug
Instruction manual

...i also ordered mine from PDX and got all of this sealed in a white Cobb box.

Maps were on the AP - Base map and Realtime maps - of course, as said above , you can download them off their website.

Same thing happened when I got my AP. The map manager software is available on their website.

You should have received everything kingtut12 said plus an initialization connector (white plug resistor thingy).

But if all your missing is the cd its not really a problem. Just got o cobbtuning.com and download the map manager and and base/realtime maps that you want.

You got a ProTuner AP. That just means that they send the minimum of stuff with the Port. They don't flash maps into it because they are intending to sell that to a shop that has the Protuner in which case they would load their own maps into the Port. ProTuner APs are just a little cheaper for Cobb dealers than an AP with all the maps loaded on. I'm sure somebody just pulled the wrong version off the shelf. Once you load the maps in, you'll have exactly what everybody else does. If you really want a hard copy of the manual and the CD, let me know I'm sure I can get Cobb to send one out to you.

Where did you get the AP??

Agile has it correct. Some of the APs we got from Cobb were the protuner version. They still include the instructions that refer to the CD, but they do not include it. We now order them regularly so that this question does not come up. If you have any trouble with getting the MAP software let us know. For now the maps for your car are already on the AP, so there is no immediate need for the map manager software.

My AP was empty, no maps.

I have since downloaded the program to my computer, maps, and loaded it onto the AP.

Currently playing with the Stage 1 map. :)
