BigElm 03-06-2006, 06:07 PM There's no way they'll pass it here if it doesn't MEET regulations...
left footed whooten 03-06-2006, 06:11 PM Is that not an Isuzu Rodeo? It looks exactly like one, the undamaged parts anyway. If not they plain stole the look, too bad they didn't steal the strength.
OrlandoSTi 03-06-2006, 06:14 PM Ohhh come on....... It's not all that bad..... At least the head is still intact !!!

Yes its a Rodeo... and they were known to be horrible in crashes.

OrlandoSTi 03-06-2006, 06:17 PM The Chinese finally figured out how to fold a really large piece of paper into an Isuzu !!!
I give you..... Isuzugomy !!!

Wow....how the hell did they make it onto the US market like that, I had no idea they were so horrible, and Ive ridden in a few.
hhcchen 03-06-2006, 06:25 PM the car is called... 江陵吉普Landwind...

stidailydriver 03-06-2006, 06:28 PM ah hes fine, walk it off
if it were real, he would never walk again though....
InvertedB 03-06-2006, 06:37 PM Shows you can't just make a car look like it's good, actually takes some engineering too, who would have thought?
blubaru703 03-06-2006, 06:49 PM This was posted on a good 5 months ago.
Landwind for teh lose.
Beaverboy 03-07-2006, 10:42 AM ^ yup
http://landwind.bootnetworks.com/
Also:
Ford F-150 FTL
and
Isuzu Rodeo FTL
The Landwind would pass here with a few very minor modifications... a few more strips of steel in the forward frame members and a hood that folds up properly.. and it could be sold in the US as a light truck.
InvertedB 03-07-2006, 01:58 PM The F-150 and Isuzu Rodeo are death traps in their own right, geez.
CapeRex 03-07-2006, 02:28 PM Chinese cars suck
newscooby 03-07-2006, 03:27 PM Ehhh....they've got billions and billions of people over there. A couple hundred lost in random SUV wrecks won't dent the population that much.
Besides, have you been over there?!!? It's amazing impact testing doesn't happen more often every where you go.
stidailydriver 03-07-2006, 06:39 PM edited at request of moderators......
SiNzz 03-07-2006, 06:49 PM Isn't that the "landwind" or something. I saw a few videos of that crash test a while back. Even my non car friends were laughing hysterically at it with me. If the crash itself doesn't kill you....the dashboard smoking you in the face after will! I love how the airbag inflates, but just flies straight at your face LOL.
Also, those sort of racist comments seems somewhat uneccesary and un called for. They have nothing to do with crash tests or cars. Also, being of Korean decent, they're a bit insulting (even if it isn't my culture directly). And no offense, but some I'd venture to say that some of our western practices could be "idiotic" to them...so it's not really a valid arguement IMO. Either way..****TY CAR! :D
littlewhitewagon 03-08-2006, 01:33 AM I don't see what's wrong with the car... I think the Chinese are finally developing a form of population control. If anyone wants to see another Chinese POS, check out their line that is trying to enter the US market... GEELY... I'm Chinese by the way... the Chinese in China have a very different way of doing things, they are great at copying things in appearance. Unfortunately, not very good at making things right when it comes to structure, material composition and design.
phoenix96 03-08-2006, 03:37 AM I wouldn't buy a car from one of the major Chinese manufacturers right now. Not because they're built in China, but because they have not proven themselves to be designed to the same safety and quality standards as Japanese manufacturers like Toyota, Honda, and Subaru. It'll take time for them to earn that reputation, but I believe it'll happen, and probably more quickly than for the Japanese or Koreans.

thats a fair statement. dont go spout saying i wont buy chinese cuz i found this video of yellow skinned people ill assume are chinese(which are not) killing animals.
Beaverboy 03-08-2006, 09:09 AM This thread is so ironic. 50 years ago similar ignorant remarks were commonly made against the Japanese. Now we're on a North American Subaru forum.
BigElm 03-08-2006, 02:17 PM Carry on and STAY CLEAN...
CapeRex 03-08-2006, 02:37 PM Fair enough.

HAHAHAHA. people flaming on him all day.
Fair enough.
BIGELM EDIT: You thought I was kidding? Enjoy your points!
NYCshopper 03-08-2006, 04:47 PM I would give this one a spin...
VV (Visionary Vehichles) is hoping to bring this Hard-Top Convertible (Chery M14) for MSRP $19K....

JoeyW 03-08-2006, 05:06 PM That red hardtop will come with a 2.0L turbo engine producing a est. 190hp

gargleblaster 03-08-2006, 05:45 PM VV is chaired by... our old Subaru importer friend Malcolm Bricklin. Things seem to be coming full circle.

Looks pretty cool to me, and 19k seems rather reasonable for a 2.0 turbo convertible. Only thing I might change would be to have the car painted nighthawk black
rice h8r 03-08-2006, 10:05 PM wow... some people out there = ?!?!?!?!??
that's how the world is, so sad.
NismoSkylineGTR 03-09-2006, 02:17 AM you need to consider the way you post the topic
NEVER BUY A CHINESE.....
you need to specific on what product
now you are dissing all the chinese by saying that as if CHINESE are products
Derbagger 03-09-2006, 10:20 AM Yeah, this is the same as 10 years ago saying don't buy Korean. That Chinese SUV is an early model. I'm sure the Model T was a champion of crash safety. And who can forget the BMW Isetta, that had to do great in a head-on with a Hummer.
BigElm 03-09-2006, 03:09 PM You guys must love attention... anyone not posting thread related comments gets points for being banned.
