View Full Version : FS: 2003 ver8 twin-scroll engine RoundtheBend 03-10-2006, 11:30 PM *edit* Moved to Private for Sale Classifieds. -Erik jakmobile 03-11-2006, 04:42 AM Will this fit a 98 LGT? How much are you looking to get for it? What are the HP #'s? xcntrk75 03-11-2006, 08:10 AM Man I'd love to get that hood if I wasn't 3k miles away... :( RoundtheBend 03-11-2006, 11:03 AM Will this fit a 98 LGT? How much are you looking to get for it? What are the HP #'s?Yes, it will fit a '98, I'm asking $7200. It's a ver8 engine which IIRC is listed as ~280hp. RoundtheBend 03-11-2006, 11:09 AM Man I'd love to get that hood if I wasn't 3k miles away... :(I thought of you and couple of other guys when I posted in here. :) wrx_driver_2002 03-11-2006, 02:05 PM Bump for good guy :) Wiring harness was wired for the legacy cruise control and I believe it was wired for ABS also. The bulkhead harness was origonally made from a 1999 LGT Sedan (Not the 1996 Legacy) and the 2002 STI harness. Would basically be plug and play for any 1998-1999 Legacy Sedan. The 1995-1997 guys would also need the fuel tank (or at least the fuel tank harness) from a 1998-1999 Legacy unless you modified the harness to fit your current tank (which isn't that many wires... 6 I believe). Wagon guys would need to do some minor wiring for the rear wiper and squirter, and power door lock in the rear hatch. Erik, if you want me to snap pics of the hood and email them to you or host them and post in the thread, let me know. Mike RoundtheBend 03-11-2006, 07:21 PM Mike, If you could just email them to me, I will put them into the first post. :) Thanks for clarifying the wiring as you guys built it. :D -Erik RoundtheBend 03-13-2006, 01:14 PM For the weekday crew (bump). RoundtheBend 03-16-2006, 01:13 AM bump. jakmobile 03-16-2006, 01:19 AM Damn I really want this for my BG, I don't suppose you do financing:) RoundtheBend 03-16-2006, 01:49 AM  No, no financing options at this time. :( Good question though. :) RoundtheBend 03-20-2006, 03:00 PM Engine package + ver6 gearset - $7275 shipped in lower 48 states. -Erik RoundtheBend 03-21-2006, 09:29 PM Pricing updated! :D jakmobile 03-21-2006, 11:53 PM Ahhh, I keep getting emails saying this thread is being updated, and everytime I see them I want this more. K, more questions. Will the stock differentials/tranny from a 98 lgt handle this engine? wrx_driver_2002 03-22-2006, 12:13 AM Ahhh, I keep getting emails saying this thread is being updated, and everytime I see them I want this more. K, more questions. Will the stock differentials/tranny from a 98 lgt handle this engine? Yes, it will. Depending on how you drive. I've got a friend who has been making 330 whp on his stock RS transmission for 2+ years. As long as you don't shock them, they'll hold the power just fine. RoundtheBend 03-22-2006, 12:52 AM I agree with Mike. :) Dave Clark Motorsports put a ver6 gearset into my legacy gearbox though so I never drove on stock gears. Like Mike stated, I have seen people make good power on the stock gearbox. It's all about how you drive. :) Also, remember there is a ver6 gearset package if you're interested in that. :) Thanks, Erik jakmobile 03-22-2006, 01:03 AM So this engine is stock as of right now correct? Does it also include the exhaust/upipe/downpipe? Will I also need a different crossmember? RoundtheBend 03-22-2006, 01:27 AM The engine has not been modified except for the addition of a restrictor to meet Open class regulations. This can easily be removed. You will need a turbo crossmember for this to work with your wagon. I used a wrx crossmember for the additional track width. It comes with UP/DP (the JDM shorty unless it was changed for the new exhaust). -Erik wrx_driver_2002 03-22-2006, 10:28 AM The engine has not been modified except for the addition of a restrictor to meet Open class regulations.
