Will this fit a 98 LGT? How much are you looking to get for it? What are the HP #'s?Yes, it will fit a '98, I'm asking $7200. It's a ver8 engine which IIRC is listed as ~280hp.

Bump for good guy :) Wiring harness was wired for the legacy cruise control and I believe it was wired for ABS also. The bulkhead harness was origonally made from a 1999 LGT Sedan (Not the 1996 Legacy) and the 2002 STI harness. Would basically be plug and play for any 1998-1999 Legacy Sedan. The 1995-1997 guys would also need the fuel tank (or at least the fuel tank harness) from a 1998-1999 Legacy unless you modified the harness to fit your current tank (which isn't that many wires... 6 I believe). Wagon guys would need to do some minor wiring for the rear wiper and squirter, and power door lock in the rear hatch.

Yes, it will. Depending on how you drive. I've got a friend who has been making 330 whp on his stock RS transmission for 2+ years. As long as you don't shock them, they'll hold the power just fine.

I agree with Mike. :) Dave Clark Motorsports put a ver6 gearset into my legacy gearbox though so I never drove on stock gears. Like Mike stated, I have seen people make good power on the stock gearbox. It's all about how you drive. :)

Also, remember there is a ver6 gearset package if you're interested in that. :) :devil:

So this engine is stock as of right now correct? Does it also include the exhaust/upipe/downpipe? Will I also need a different crossmember?

The engine has not been modified except for the addition of a restrictor to meet Open class regulations. This can easily be removed. You will need a turbo crossmember for this to work with your wagon. I used a wrx crossmember for the additional track width.

It comes with UP/DP (the JDM shorty unless it was changed for the new exhaust).

Still has the stock downpipe with the converter. The new exhaust was just a catback.
