I have 4 Rota tarmac 17's waiting to go on my car, size 245-30-17. 04 wrx. I was just wondering if the stock lugs would fit, or if I need to buy other lugs. Thanks all.

they will fit, however, not recommended because they will scrape all the metal away off the rim, i just picked up some motegi lugs from oakos. they have a conical shape so they work great

I would recommend picking up a set of tuner style lugs. The oem lugs are designed for the oem wheel which has a flat lug patch area. You will want a conical shaped lug as 02subadrew mentioned. I recommend either the standard spline lugs or Mcgard lugs that we carry for our Rota wheels.

Also I would really look into a different size tire for the tarmac's. It is a 17x7.5 wheel and for that I would recommend a 225/45/17. This tire will properly fit the wheel and be within the stock tire size diameter. A 245/30/17 is alot smaller.

Hey guys all this lug talk has got me to think. I'm not compeltely sure if my tires + rims will fit on my car. I'm pretty sure, but not completely sure. My tires came off an '04 wrx, and will go on to my '04 wrx. Offset is either 46 or 48, not sure. tire size is 245-45-17, I think. It's actually a pretty big tire. If my tires fit the other '04, it'll prolly fit mine, but I dont remember if the other guy had a lowered car or not. I'm pretty sure he did, but not completely sure. My car is lowered approx. 1 - 1.5", so I think it should be ok. Anyway if anyone has any opinions about this it would help. Thanks all.
