Why is it that you cannot read CEL's throught he UTEC?

I realise the AP plugs into a seperate port, but the codes must go through the UTEC as they are generated by the ECU right?

Good question, however Hippy is right. It just doesn't. It doesn't have anything to do with the OBDII port as you are right, they are generated (stored) in the ECU, but since the UTEC is a piggyback, it doesn't have anything to do with reading or clearing codes simply because....it doesn't.

Who knows? It might have it as an easter egg or something. It's got a road dyno that is/was hidden.
